This is a bake igniter manufactured for an oven, stove, or range burner. It ignites the gas to light the oven burner to bake your food items. If your oven will not heat properly, your igniter could be faulty and you may need to replace it. You can access your bake igniter by removing the bottom panel and burner shield of your oven. Be sure to disconnect power to your appliance before completing this repair because you will be working closely with wiring harnesses. This part is sold separately and is a genuine replacement part sourced from the original manufacturer.

Oven would sporadically light when initially turned on
Watched the you tube video from this website and did the same to my own oven. Much better replacement igniter than was installed in oven from factory and amazing packaging from partselect.com. Thank you!

Bake Igniter Burned Out
I watched the very simple video on the bottom of the parts page and prepped all the tools...You will need a small wrench or similar tool... but it was SOOOO simple! I like fix it projects, but working with a gas oven had me a bit nervous...after the video, I thought, this will be easy! It was super easy! My hubby didn't even have to help
... Read moremuch! I also took the time to clean the oven before changing the part, so it seems like a brand new oven! I will order from Parts Select again anytime!
Disconnected power, I removed the igniter from oven. Measured the resistance (275 ohms) and then the current draw. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS SAFELY. I made a harness and connected the old igniter to 110 V ac, Current draw thru the meter settled at 2.7 Amps. Too weak to fully open gas valve. Valve require

The oven would not ignite on bake setting
After reading a lot of reviews online, I came to the conclusion it was the bake igniter. The "glow rod" would glow but would not ignite the oven. The broiler would ignite and the top burners would work. I removed the racks, took a screwdriver and removed the 2 screws in the back corners. I then slid the bottom shield towards the back then
... Read more lifted up and the shield came off and exposed the flame shield. I removed the screws the hold that in place on the front of the oven with my 6 way screwdriver. I used the nutdriver part. Lifted that off which exposed the the actual flame tube and bake igniter. There were two screws, used the nutrdiver on the 6 way screwdriver, holding the bake igniter on. The screws are on the side of it. Removed those and the igniter came free. I pulled out the warming drawer and followed the wire from the igniter to a wiring harness. Pulled that apart and pulled the whole thing out through the oven. Got the new part, reversed order of removal. Fired right up. Pretty pricey part. But, saved 500+ dollars for a new range. Actual removal and install of new part, maybe 20 minutes if that. Super easy.

Oven wouldn't heat - broiler and burners worked fine-Bake Burner Igniter didn't work
It was the week before Thanksgiving and we didn't know what to do without an oven. I did some research on Google and of all the websites out there, I found a decent price here at Parts Select and ordered it on Friday. I was shocked when FEDEX pulled up to the door on Saturday afternoon. I went online to youtube and found a step by step
... Read more video specifically for this part. It's posted by the Repair Clinic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLxKoF16gac. I was able to fix the part and probably saved at least $150.00 for a service call and repair time. The part cost about $90 and I was done in less than 15 minutes. We just got this stove about 2 years ago and I'm thinking maybe we could have saved my old stove since it had the same problem. Great job Parts Select - I got just what I needed and saved a ton of money in the process. Thanks also for their great informative video online. We had a great Thanksgiving and were very thankful for all our hot food fresh from the oven.

Oven will not heat up. Top burners work fine. Control panel gives a code f31. Is this the bake ignitor?
For model number TGF351ESC
Hello Chris, Thank you for your inquiry. This error code usually indicates an issue with the oven temperature sensor. You can check the sensor with a multimeter for continuity. The normal resistance reading at the room temperature should be about 1100 Ohms. If the reading is correct, check the wires between the probe and the control board, including all plugs. If there is nothing wrong, check the control board. Hope this helps!

Oven does not light, smell gas. However, all burners and broiler work. Is it the oven/bake igniter? What part is needed? Thanks
For model number GLGF386DCC
Hello Jan, thank you for inquiring. This is most likely due to a faulty Pressure Regulator, part number PS438464 for your model range. You may also want to consider this Bake Igniter, part number PS1528534 as the cause. You can test the ohms of resistance for the Bake Igniter with a multi-meter. It should read as about 1100 ohms to be functioning correctly. Good luck with your repair!

My burners work, the self cleaner works, oven doesn't come on, broil doesn't come on..
For model number fgfl79dbf
Hello Vicci, thank you for your question. If just the broil doesn't light, we would recommend replacing the igniter first, which is PartSelect Number: PS1528535. When the broil option doesn't light, but the bake does, this usually means the igniter itself is bad. I hope this helps!

Oven will not lite top burners works getting a f13 code
For model number FGFL79GSA
Hello Jimmy, Thank you for the question. The F13 Error code indicates an issue with the Control Board Part Number: PS3497852 and that it will need to be replaced. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
Oven will not heat up. All burners on the stove are still working great. Would this issue mean that the oven igniter needs replaced? Or could it be something different? Thanks so much in advance.
For model number FGF368GQA
Hi Trisha, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that could cause this issue in your appliance. First I would say test your igniters with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 1100 ohms to be working correctly. The other part you should check would be your oven temperature sensor. That can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. If those three parts are fine however, then the issue may be in your control board or the spark module. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Broiler ignites, oven does not.
Hi Jan,
Thank you for your question. If the oven is not igniting, the issue could be the bake igniter. To verify the correct bake igniter for your appliance, we would need the model number from your oven. Here is a link from our website that you may reference on where to find the model number on your appliance, https://www.partselect.com/Find-Your-Range-Model-Number.aspx. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Igniter glows on bake but oven doesn’t light. Broiler and top burners work. Is my problem the igniter or something else?
For model number FGFLZ87GCA
Hi Paul, thank you for getting in touch. We have found that your bake igniter, part number PS1528534, may be faulty. The bake igniter ignites the gas to light the bake burner. It is recommended to replace the bake igniter to fix this issue. We hope this helps!

Can the Bake Igniter still light entirely and be faulty, meaning it will NOT ignite?
For model number FPGS3085KFG
Hello Earl, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the igniter can still glow and be faulty. We would recommend checking the igniter carefully. If the igniter is fine, then the issue is most probably with the safety valve, part number PS1150314. It controls gas flow to the bake and broil burners in the oven. You may need to replace it to solve the problem. Glad to be of assistance!
None of the numbers seem to match anything but I need a new bake igniter. How can I be sure I order the correct part? I can send a picture of the old one as it has been removed.
For model number FPGH3077RFE
Hello Annette, Thank you for contacting us. We receive our parts lists directly from the manufacturer as to guarantee the parts will fit that model. Checking the model number that you provided, we show the compatible bake igniter as part# PS12584919-the part number was updated by the manufacturer. We hope this helps you.
