Not so easy installation
The part (handle for microwave oven door) is fine. The problem was removing the upper screw holding the old handle. Not sure if excess heating caused the plastic to bond to the screw or what (and why did the original part fail anyway). But I could not turn it. I hesitate to describe my solution to the problem (it involved the use of a variable-speed drill), since it seems rather miraculous that what I did worked. It would be nice if the part came with replacement screws as well, since it's so easy to strip the screw heads. Again, I got by with reusing the originals.

How to remove the plastic screen, and then replace the handle?
For model number JNM1851DM2BB
HI Lillian,
Thank you for your question. You would use a putty knife to pop the choke cover away from the door. That should reveal your screws that hold your handle on. If it does not, you would then use your putty knife to also pop off your choke. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
