Dishwasher has no power at all. Circuit breaker is not tripped. There is 120v to the control board underneath the dishwasher. Can the 4.1 amp fuse on the control board cause this or is the control board bad? Does the fuse if bad unplug from the board or does it have to be desoldered and a new one resoldered? Thank you.
For model number Gdt545psj6ss
Hi Bkp,
Thank you for your question. The control board fuse can be removed from the configured service machine control board. If your dishwasher is not starting, there are some other parts that you should check also to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the door latch and the control panel electronic control board. We have included a link from our website that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please call customer service. We look forward to hearing from you!
Power comes on when not in use. Random chime sound every few hours. Now no power to the control panel. Electrical passes. Could this be a bad wiring harness or fuse?
For model number GDF640HSM0SS
Hello Mike, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model and would recommend checking the wiring for any loose connections or visible damage, and you can also test the connectors with a multimeter. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. If the wiring tests ok, then check the fuse, as it is designed to shut the dishwasher off if the dishwasher shorts out or overheats. The other cause of this issue could be a communications error between the main board and the user interface board, or the user interface board has failed. Checking the wiring should rule out any connection issues, which in that case the UI board in the control panel is at fault. v
My dishwasher, model GDF640HSM2SS, was working fine, but a couple of weeks ago it started turning on and off by itself, even when I was running a program. Now it doesn't turn on. I checked the power cord and it is live. Do you know what's going on? Thank you

Dishwasher runs and all functions work except the door latch won't engage. it will run with the door closed, but just will not lock. Do you think it could be the door latch itself or would it be something else?
