This ice maker assembly is responsible for producing and dispensing ice in refrigerators. It is supplied by the original manufacturer and is located within the freezer compartment. The assembly includes the ice maker unit, ice mold, water inlet valve, shut off lever, and wire connectors. The ice maker assembly can fail due to several reasons which include an electrical fault, malfunctioning motor, faulty water inlet valve, clogged ice mold, or broken lever. If your refrigerator is not producing/dispensing ice, and there are no water supply issues, or blockages in the outlet tubing or fill cup, you will likely need to replace this assembly. Remove the assembly mounting screws and disconnect the water supply line. Pull the faulty assembly out of the compartment and attach the new one. Reconnect the water supply line and reinstall the fasteners.

Our Icemaker is broken! The sensor lever that indicates the need for more. Ice cubes or to stop making ice cubes has broken in half. It is a plastic lever NOT WIRE. Is it possible to purchase just the lever? Thank you for your quick response.

Yes the image of the ice maker you have is not like the ice maker in my refrigerator. Maybe yours is an updated version. And by looking at the plug it is not the same as on the ice maker I have. Mine has four wires inside a white sheath to a four prong plug. Then two small red wires to a two prong plug. is the image not the correct one for my model?
