Good availability and delivery
I had a moron tech come to the house who was overwhelmed with replacing the ice maker for my Samsung refrigerator. Samsung has chronic and known issues with their ice makers. The tech said he'd order the part, and return when it arrived. He told me it was back ordered 4-6 weeks. I don't think he wanted to tackle the job. I called Samsung parts, and they confirmed his claim. After waiting more than two months for some action, I contacted PartSelect, and they had the part in stock. I received it quickly, and with the help of a YouTube video, was able to replace the ice maker myself. My wife didn't want the tech in the house again anyway, so thanks to PartSelect, I was able to take care of all of it.

Frost buildup at base of ice maker
For model number RF23HCEDBWW/AA
Hello and thank you for writing.
If the flap on the ice dispenser is not closing properly, it allows warm air to enter the freezer compartment and causes frost build up on the ice maker. To check the flap, open the left side door, and look at the black flap inside the ice chute cap gasket PS4151634. If the flap is in the correct position, it is flush against the housing. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
On all the you tube videos it said to put in defrost mode. After looking at the owners manual it doesn't seem to have a defrost mode. What are my options?
For model number RF23HCEDTSR
Hello Mark, Thank you for the question. This model does not have a separate Defrost Thermostat or Timer, it is controlled by the Control Board, PartSelect Number PS9604083 so it can not be put into manual defrost. Please feel free to ask a new question with the symptoms of the appliance and we will be happy to look into this for you. Hope to hear from you!
My ice maker in the door continues to freez up and i want to add an additional ice maker in the bottom frerzer. Will this ice maker work for me?
For model number rf23hcedbsr
Hello Jonathan, Thank you for the question. Very sorry but checking the model number we are only showing the One Ice Maker, PartSelect Number: PS12115582. For more specialized assistance or to speak with someone about this to see if a second one can be added, I would suggest calling the manufacturer of the appliance directly. If they could provide you with a part number you can use, you are always welcome to check back to see if we carry the part. Hope this helps!
