Hi Karl, Thank you for your question. Yes, this would be the correct water tube that connects to the ice maker. Here is some general information that you may reference on how to install it. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and also turn off the water to the refrigerator. For this job you will need a quarter inch nut driver, a 5/16th wrench and a flathead screwdriver. To start, go to the back of the refrigerator and remove the screws securing the back access panel with a quarter inch nut driver and then remove the access panel. With the panel removed, use the quarter inch nut driver to remove the screws securing the water inlet valve to the refrigerator and the screw securing the water line. With the screws removed, lay a towel down on the floor and pull the water inlet valve out. Use the 5/16th inch wrench to remove the water line that goes to the ice maker. If there is any water inside the tube the towel will absorb it. Once you have completed this, go to the front of the refrigerator and open the freezer door. Remove the top shelf and close the flapper door on the left and lift the ice maker access door. Using your thumb push the hinge on the right hand side to the right to release the access door and then repeat this for the hinge on the left hand side. With the hinges released, remove the access door. With your quarter inch nut driver, remove the screw on the bottom left and remove the cover. Close the flapper door and remove the ice maker. Use a flathead screwdriver to release the tab securing the wire harness to the ice maker. With the ice maker removed, you should see a black tube. Rock the tube from side to side to break it loose. Then slowly pull it down. The tube is installed sideways. Keep pulling it until the water tube has been completely removed. With the old tube removed, thread the new tube slowly through the opening on the inside of the refrigerator and place the black nozzle in sideways. If the nozzle will not go in all the way, you will need to go to the back of the refrigerator and pull it into position. Then reconnect the ice maker harness plug. Slide the ice maker into position and make sure the tip of the tube is over the water inlet cup and put the cover back on and secure it with the screw. Slide the ice maker access panel into the hinge on the left and push on the right hand hinge slightly and lock the access door in. Reposition the shelf inside the refrigerator. Then go to the back of the refrigerator and push the water line into the water inlet valve and make sure it is tight. Secure the water inlet valve back onto the refrigerator with the screws and secure the water line with the screw as well. Reinstall the back access panel and secure it with the screws. Restore power to the refrigerator and turn the water back on. Everything should now work for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
