Very easy repair
Our freezer iced up over a year ago. We had a repairman come in and defrost it and make necessary repairs to prevent it from happening again. Unbeknownst to me, the repairman broke the shroud when he removed it. He then used electrical tape to put it back in place. I was unaware of this until the tape gave way and the shroud fell off. The replacement part was extremely easy to put in place and secure.

I replaced the freezer evaporator motor on my Frigidaire, but am now struggling/stumped w/ trying to reinstall the grille shroud (part ps11749612); try as I might, I cannot get the 3 plastic tabs to cooperate to get the part back on. Any suggestions?
Hello Mike, Thank you for the question. The grill should snap in place. Raise the grill to the top of the freezer so it is touching the top of the freezer, then slide it back and snap in place. Hope this helps!

Hi Deborah, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the damper control assembly, part number PS11750106, as it is most likely faulty and may need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
