22 years ago I remodeled my kitchen and installed a 30" Kitchenaide/Whirlpool convection oven. One of our favorite features for roasting was the probe, as one only has to insert the probe into the meat, set the internal temperature, and forget about things until the alarm goes off. This year in a "pre-holiday" trial the old probe failed to register with the oven. The only place I could find a new original part was PartSelect, as Whirlpool did not even have a probe available. I really appreciate PartSelect's inventory supply and ease of finding and purchasing the correct parts.

Oven light bulb inop
Taking off the glass lense for the light bulb was harder than I thought. It unscrews counterclockwise, but it was very hard to get off. It would not turn. I ended up using connector pliers I use for work, that has rubber jaws. The lense unscrewed very easy with it. Light also unscrews out. PartSelect.com is the only way to go to buy parts

Unwrapped the package, plugged the probe into the oven, stuck the other end into the chicken.

When i connect the temperature probe to the temperature probe jack, the temperature does not display. How can i tell if i need a new probe or if something is wrong with the oven.Thank you

Hello Marcia, thank you for writing. You can test the ohms of the Temperature Sensor with a multi meter. It should read as around 1080 ohms at room temperature to be working correctly. We hope this helps.

What is the resistance reading of a good temp sensor?

Stove will not come on .
