My dishwasher is not draining and i have taken it apart up to the impeller. The impeller doesn’t seem to come off the shaft. Do i have to pry off or pull with channel locks ? Also what am i looking for to tell if the impeller needs replacing? Thank-you. Also, i have replaced the water control level switch.
For model number DWU8260AAX
Hello Joe, thank you for your question. To remove the impeller, the inner bottom spray arm should be removed. Once that is out, the pump cover, housing and filter can be removed. The impeller is held into place by a small screw. If the impeller is cracked, or pieces broken out of it, it would have to be replaced. I hope this helps!
