Leaking icemaker
The part came in and was installed. It was the part that was suggested to stop my icemaker from leaking. Unfortunately, the icemaker still gets too much water, and the leak is the same as before.
I am using ice trays. If anyone knows what will limit the amount of water going to my icemaker, I would appreciate knowing. Nothing wrong with your part. Thanks for getting it to me in a timely manner.

Water inlet valve stopped working.
Turn off the water to the unit. Disconnect the plug on wiring from the old valve. They always recommend you disconnect the electric (unplug) the unit while doing this work. Disconnect the water lines from the old valve by pushing the water line slightly into the flange on the valve, it releases the line from the flange. Ho

Push the water lines into the ports on the new valve, turn on the water and check for leaks. If no leaks, plug the wire connections onto the new valve, reconnect it to the unit and turn the power back on.

The w10270395 smart primary was easy to locate. It was behind the lower part of the rear of the refrigerator like most primary inlet valves are... my question is : what is the trick for getting gaining access to the secondary inlet valve wp12956105 i know the top inner panel has to be removed but how is it removed? please help me and i will be your loyal customer parts customer for life !
For model number GI7FVCXWB01
Hello Edward, Thank you for the question. To remove the panel you will need to remove the shelves and the water filter cover. There are small holes in the panel that you can use a flat head screw driver to insert into the holes and release the tab clips and the panel will pop off. This will give you access to the valve. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

For model number kfisd27cxmso
Hello Sarah, thank you for your question. The Valve PS11738654 and PS11751526 can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance.
