The pantry end cap is also known as a drawer support or a door shelf trim. This specific piece is sold individually and is meant for the left side of your refrigerator. It snaps into place on the door of your fridge, which allows it to hold items on the door shelf. To change the left side end cap on your refrigerator you will need a 1/4 inch nut driver. Users have ranked this installation as easy to do, with a less than thirty minute repair time.

For model number KFIS20XVMS2
Hello Jen, Thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model you have provided and have found the part you are looking for is PartSelect Number PS11738573 for the Left Side and PartSelect Number PS11738568 for the Right Side. We hope this helps!
My jennair uses Whirlpool wpw10122078 endcap which is identically shaped but has no screws its all snap in it appears. How do i remove the existing endcap (the hinge for the door is broken) there are no screws but it seems to be wedged in pretty tight.
For model number JFC2290VEM4
Hi Daniel, thank you for your question. The endcap does not snap it. It would have screws that attach it to your fridge wall. We have a video on how to replace the part here: https://youtu.be/wvqM2MrCNyo. Good luck with your repair.

Broken pins holding pantry door
Removed door and crisper pans. Removed nuts on left end cap - think there were 3. Removed nuts on right end cap and one or two on back air regulator attached to right end cap. Replaced left end cap with new one using reserved nuts. Carefully removed back air regulator from right end cap. Attached back air regulator to new right end cap. Replaced right end cap and back air regulator and attached with nuts. Carefully inserted pantry door into pin on one side and slightly bent both right and left pins to insert door fully into end caps. Replaced crisper pans. That's it.
The lid that covers the front of the lower meat / produce drawer hinges upward on two small ( easily broken) plasic pins, one on each side of the drawer. One pin is moulded into each "END CAP" that also supports the drawer glides and glass shelf above. The entire end cap must be replaced to repair the hinge. The left side is easy (it's the only one I had to replace); the right side might be more difficult because the right end cap includes a temperature control. 1) Remove the two produce drawers above the lower drawer. 2) Lift off the front glass shelf support, the glass shelf, and the rear glass shelf support from below the two produce drawers. 3) Slide the lower drawer half way out. Remove the drawer lid by disengaging it from the remaining undamaged hinge pin on the OK end cap. Careful not to break the good one. 4) Slide the lower drawer all the way out, then lift up and towards you to remove it from its glides. 5) Using a 1/4" nutdriver or socket, remove the three recessed screws. Leave the drawer glide alone for now. 6) Pull the front of the end cap up and towards you about 3/4" to disengage it from a small retainig button at the top front. Pull the end cap toward you to disengage the two rear retaining fingers. 7) Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the drawer glide from the broken end cap and attach it to the replacement end cap. Note which end is the front before removing it. 8) Reassemble in reverse order. Again, be careful with the hinge pins.

Ice Maker Making Large Block of Ice, Level Broken, Pantry Cover broken
Pantry Cover:
I just slided out the tray, and unscrewed the left pantry panel that was broken, and replaced it with the new one, then put in the new cover after sliding the trays back in.
Ice Maker:
I unplugged the power connector in the back, unscrewed the ice maker with a flat screw driver (3 screws), slide it out, and then unplugged the wiring from the old ice maker and put it into the new one, mounted the new ice maker back in, make sure the lever is working, and then closed the freezer to let it cool down so that water can start flowing to it when it becomes cold enough (took about a good hour or so before water started filling the ice maker). Once the freezer was cold enough, water started filling the ice maker, and it begin making ice again.
First I removed the drawers above the pantry drawer. Then I took out the pantry drawer. I unsrewed 3 screws that attached the part to the refreg. I then removed the rails that were attached to the part I was repalcing and put them on the new part. I then install the new part. Put the firg back together. It was extremely easy and took about 5 minutes to do.
For replacing end cap, LH pantry part: removed large pantry drawer removed two small upper pantry drawers removed glass panel and long braces---all these parts required no tools used 1/4" nut driver to remove 3 screws from broken end cap, LH pantry part and shook it to release it from the refrigerator used phillips head screw driver to remove drawer arms replaced metal drawer arms to new end cap, LH pantry part attached new end cap, LH panrty part to refigerator and finised by using nut driver on all 3 screws. then replaced other pantry dawers, glass shelf, and pantry cover. EASY!
1. removed both bottom crisper drawers 2. removed glass shelf under crisper drawers 3. removed shelf support pieces 4. removeded snack drawer 5. removed left slide rail using phillips screwdriver (2 screws) 6. removed LH end cap using socket wrench (3 screws) 7. attached new LH end cap 8. attached slide rail 9. installed glas shelf supports 10. installed glas shelf 11. install bottom crisper drawers 12. install snack drawer 13. install snack drawer top

Plastic axle piece breaks off on left side of door to slide out drawer under crispers
Remove crispers & bottom drawer. Removed glass piece. Unscrewed piece( small nuts not screw heads) There is also a nubbie at front. You must remove by sliding out & lifting back of part. Reuse screws to replace piece & drawer runner. It took 15 to 20 minutes. I am all thumbs. If I can do anyone can do!
Repair was simple and just as described by several others on this site! From finding the part, ordering, quick shipping and instructions, PartsSelect made this job a breeze to complete.
The peg on the door broke off the left end cap. This seems to be a bad design on the part of amana. It's happened twice now. Very fragile. The repair was so easy that my wife tackled it while I was at work because I was too busy to do it. She said the only problem was removing all the trays, shelves, and drawers out of the fridge and putting that back together which is a bit cumbersome and tricky. The actual part removal and replacement is straight forward once the other stuff is removed to get to the screws that are holding the end cap on. When I did it for the right end cap it was a bit more challenging because there were more parts that had to come off and go back on. I am happy that this can be easily repaired, but not happy with amana that the sliding drawer and door are so susceptible to breakage at the two pegs. This is a flaw in the design.

Bottom Drawer pin was broken
Replaced the left side endcap for the drawer. Three screws and it popped out. Easy process once I actually looked at it. Drawer cover now works as designed. Replaced inline water filter. Not problem there.

Original Part, easy repair
I actually bought both the Left and Right Pantry End Caps - the pins that hold the door had broken off during the 18 years we've owned the refrigerator. When the second one broke I thought we'd have to do without the door - but a quick search found both parts in stock. Easy 10 minute replacement of both sides - right is a little more time consuming than the left. Fast shipping had the parts here and installed quickly.
