The part that is shown on the site does not look exactly like the controller in my refrigerator. Is this part a direct replacement where not all cables are hooked up? Model no and serial no on my refrigerator is kssc42fks00, qm1208502. It does not have a water/ice dispenser on the freezer door.

Thank you for the question. This part has been updated and substituted by the manufacture. Whirlpool has advised the part may differ in appearance but will function the same as the original. Also the diagrams are for basic part description and location so the part will not look %100 the same as the diagrams.
