Is the defrost timer on this circuit board?

Hello Jamie, that is a great question. The defrost times are set by the main control board, located at the back of the fridge. It manages the functions such as cooling and defrost times. Hope this helps!
does the hmi assy tell the main control board what to do such as freezer temp control and frost control my water line keeps freezing up in door and not allowing water to be despenced

Hello Jon, thank you for your question. If your water line keeps freezing, check the freezer temperature to make sure it’s between 0-10?. Freezer temperatures that are too cold can keep freezing the line. We hope this helps.

When I press ice or water to dispense it will not shut off until I open the door several times. Is this a bad HMI ASM?

The HMI is not lighting up or has no power. Could it be this part is bad or do I need to check something else see why it's not good? The freezer and fridge are good, but of course I can change temperatures or use ice and water dispenser with this part not functioning.
