My water dispenser was working very slowly, and the ice maker was not working at all.
I called Parts Express, and explained my problem. The representative, She asked if I was getting water in the tray, and I was not. She said that if I wasn't getting water there, then my problem was probably the Dual Inlet Water Valve. I poured some water directly into the tray, and the ice maker made a tray of ice, and dumped it in less than an hour. So, I then ordered the Dual inlet water Valve. My ice maker is working perfect, and I am getting better water pressure from my water dispenser as well. Thank you for your assistance.

refrigerator would not despense water
the old dual inlet water valve was 2 years old and stop despense water. this is not the fist time that i changed the valve so i know when the frigerator is not despense water it s time to change the valve. and its simple shut off water supple to frigertor, pull the electrical plug. remove all the screws from back of back panel, the dual inlet valve is located at the bottom left side remove the inlet water supple line, unscrew the bolt holding the valve in place disconnect the two electrical connection from valve and remove the two water lines(one black and the other white) these two water lines have a push in fitting just push in each line at same time hold in the white collar while pull out the water line. with the new valve install both water lines by pushing them in the black line is larger in diameter that goes into the larger valve connector and the white goes into the smaller diameter connector. then connect to electrical connector these can not be mixed up because the red excepts the larger terminals and the white connects to the smaller connectors. place the dual inlet into a manufacture whole and bolt it back onto the frame of frigertor, connect to water line onto the valve, turn on water supply, check for water leaks. if all looks ok replace back panel, plug in electrical cord. your ready to go.

Ice dispenser door not closing. Two possible fixes
Watched the videos for replacing both the solenoid and the ice door flapper. Ordered the parts, watched the videos again and changed out the parts. I used a Philips head screwdriver and a little WD40 to clean up some rust. The instructions in the video were very easy to follow and simplified the process. PartsSelect's video showed the demonstration on a refer like mine as opposed to another site, which helped me be familiar whenI opened it up.

would not "dump" ice cubes
I am more than 80 yrs, always thought I could fix just about everything--but, this looked complicated. Once I received the new icemaker; took a good look where the screw-holes, etc. were, then removed the "old" one. Took about 20 or 30 minutes, then the "new" one was easily installed.

Broken Ice Funnel
Tips: Watch the video on installing ice flapper installation. when removing trim, watch how he does it in the video VERY closely -you bend the trim towards the outside to disengage the clips, if you just pull out you will break the clips. the light had fused the plastic sides to the inside of the dispenser housing so the judicious application of force was required to get the white plastic housing out. when installing the new funnel, be sure the tab goes behind the switch and the spring goes around the pivot opposite the switch with the leg of the spring on top of the white plastic housing. (My funnel fell out in pieces so I had no idea how it was originally installed.)
