Missing spray arm
I snapped the new one into place and ran the cycle. This time, everything came out clean, except for the bowl that had caked on cinnamon from the weeks I didn't have the part
Used pliers to pull out the old gasket. New gasket snapped into place. Notice where notches in the gasket are when the old one is removed, so the new one can be properly oriented. It was not necessary to remove the door.
shut off water supply, unhook water line first so i could pull the washer out first. pull washer out and the valve is on the lower left if your facin the washer. easy to get to and very simple to change out.
Disconnected the water line. Pulled the dishwasher out from underneath the counter. Turned the dishwasher on its side. Removed the two screws that were holding the motor in place with a special screwdriver set I had to buy. Removed the motor. Found that the front O-ring on the motor was mangled. Replaced the O-ring. No more screeching. The dishwasher now cleans the dishes better than the day I first bought it. I have to wonder if that O-ring was ever installed properly from the factory.
I recently bought a vacation home in New Hampshire, and had a very detailed home inspection performed. The dishwasher unit was checked out to be in fine shape. Before moving in, I had all the hardwood floors refinished, including the kitchen, and everything looked great. After moving in and using the dishwasher twice, it developed a major leak coming from the bottom of the unit. "Here goes more money that I don't have, to hire an appliance repairman to fix this leak!" I decided to take the bottom kick panel off the dishwasher to see where the leak was coming from. It was coming from the the connection of the heater element at the bottom of the dishwasher. I found a brass nut had been cracked and wouldn't stay tight any more. I ordered the replacement nut from Partselect, RECEIVED IT THE NEXT DAY!!!!! using regular ground shipping, and installed the new nut using a socket set, and tested the unit. No more leaks!! Partselect saved me at least $150.00 on a service call for a $3.50 part. I'm not the handiest guy around, but even this was easy! I also scored big points with the wife on my handyman repair! I used a screwdriver to remove melted spray arm. Then snapped the new spray arm into place. It was an easy repair thanks to the correct part from PartSelect.
First I pulled out the old gasket and replaced with the new one. The new one is too long on purpose but only had to be trimmed a little for a perfect fit. Very easy and now no leaks.
Easy as pie. I tokk the screws out that held the dishwasher to the counter top out. Then removed the screws holding the strike in place, inserted the new one, installed screws and then rescrewed the 2 screws backintothe countertop. Job done. All told 5 minutes.
We received the part in just a day or two so thank you for quick delivery. The base of the dishwasher door was leaking...not the actual gasket but a long strip at the base of the door had separated. With the help of a talented neighbor, my husband and our good neighbor pulled the dishwasher out from its installed place, took off the door and found a screw which needed a star-shaped screwdriver. Fortinately another neighbor had just the right tool....so screw was removed, old strip pulled out, new strip slid into place, door re-attached, dishwasher shoved back into place and anchored as though everyone knew what they wre doing! It works fine now....a small leak continued the first few washings but all is perfect now. We hope it lasts....and lasts.....and lasts! Thanks. Happy Wife
My husband had the water shut off to the dishwasher, he unplugged the electrical connection then disconnected the inlet water pipe with an adjustable wrench. Once that was done he disconnected the water inlet valve from the frame of the dishwasher and installed the new one , he then reconnected the inlet water pipe and the electrical connection , once that was done he opened the water valve feeding the dishwasher and checked for leaks which were none. Took him about 15 minutes to do it . Make sure you have the proper tools and a roll of Teflon tape before you start the job.

I watched several videos of people replacing this gasket easily, but we had trouble. The old one came out easily. The new one just slipped into the crack, but it kept going and ended up on the inside of the door. We ended up taking the outside panel off to get the gasket out. We tried to fit the thing into the slot, but it kept coming out the other side. I finally came across someone who had had the same trouble. By feel only, you can feel a slight ridge on the top side of the lower door and I had to press the gasket against that ridge. It was not a very noticeable ridge, but it holds the back (slot edge) against the door so that the gasket stays put. When we figured that out, the repair went smoothly. I am running the dishwasher now and so far, so good.
