Turn off water, disconnect power cord, remove front kickplate. Remove 2 screws that hold the water inlet valve, pull it out, disconnect electrical connection, disconnect water supply.. Check the inlet valve with volt-ohm meter for continuity. If it is good, then the valve is stuck shut. The ohm reading should be in the 900-1100 range. Replace valve, installation is the reverse.
I did not know how to reach the part to be replaced so I took the base off and everything became complicated as I had to put it back, lots of electrical wires, houses aso.
To replace the part per se was simple. To put everything back in place was more difficult as I took the base of the dishwasher off and a lor of other parts in order to reach for the drain pump. The irony was, after I took appart the base I fount a clip on the internet showing how to do that job and that was a very simple thing, couple of screws to take off the toe plate and the interior liner of the door, to create good access to the drain pump. Really a job of 10 minutes at the max.
First of all, I quessed at what was causing the droning noise. It seemed that it started when the d.w. was draining. I looked at various sites to try and figure out what was causing the noise but they all wanted money up front before they would discuss the problem. I gambled that it was the drain pump figuring that, oh well at least it's a part I won't have to replace in the future. I got lucky, the noise stopped with the part I bought. The only issues were the wiring harnesss wasn't the same as in the video I used. Overall, your service was very good. The thing I'm disappointed with is the fact that my expensive Bosch d.w. had to be repaired.
Got the wrong part.......NEVER got an answer to my 3 emails to customer service to find the correct part
I ordered the wrong part....needed their help to locate the correct part. Sent 3 emails asking for help to the 'customer service' email ----NEVER heard a word!!!......and now they want me to rate the installation ?! Horrible customer service
1. Open the dishwasher door. 2. Unscrew the screws located along the insides and top inside of the door. 3. The lower front panel will release; remove and set it aside. 4. Unscrew the inside left and right side screws near the top control panel while supporting the control panel as it releases. 5. Unplug the plug from the junction box by the On/Off button. (Pinch clips to release.) 6. Slide the junction box up to release it from the door and set aside. 7. Unscrew the four interior screws on the control panel. The control panel plate can be opened slightly so that you can sneak the new button into place from the top. One end of the button has a bar; place that end into the brackets built into the interior of the control panel wall. 8. Carefully reclose the control panel ensuring that the brackets/hooks align and snap together. 9. Replace the four interior screws on the control panel. 10. Replace the On/Off junction box by pushing it up towards the button (engages the On/Off toggle) and then sliding it down to lock it into the brackets in the control panel. 11. Replug the plug into the junction box. 12. Reposition the door front and control panel in place on the door. (door front tucks under the control panel). 13. Refasten one screw on each door panel side and the two interior side screws for the control panel. This helps hold it all together while you can complete the remaining screws. 14. Refasten all remaining screws on the sides and top of the interior door. 15. Done!
When loaded, the lower rack would fall off the rails
The problem and solution were described on the internet. I ordered a set of 4 wheels for $43+. I received one wheel. When I called Drew told me that the order was correct, but the description on the web page was wrong. He was to sent me a return label, but it has not arrived. Since then I went to the Bosch website, found the set of wheels (Part 10016657) for $42. They have been installed and the problem seems to have been fixed.
Getting to the part at the bottom of the dishwasher was a little pain.
Everything went great installing the new drain pump. Our dishwasher works like it’s brand new again. I would recommend part select to anyone that needs to repair their dishwasher parts or any applications parts.
shut off water, pull dishwasher out, took side insulation off, unhooked what was connected to the float switch and replaced the new with the old. Reconnected everything and put insulation back and wa-la , all done
