This was a very smooth repair. In total it took about 5 minutes. The pot drawer below the oven wasn't gliding like it once did. After I replaced the glides it works like new. Please note, if you are going to replace one side go the next step and replace both to provide balance to the drawer.
I found the part via the internet called the contact number of partselect received the order extremely quick. contacted a repairan who never came so I took matters in my own hands. Looked the part over lined up the connectors, removed the panel behind the range instaleed te new part and voila. Thanks PartSelect for your assistance
The switch on the door broke. This prevented my oven from cleaning and the light burned all the time so I had to unscrew it.
First I removed the two screws that hold the glass cook top in place. Then I removed 4 screws that hold a small metal plate that shields the switch. Replacing the switch was very simply just a matter of unplugging four wire connectors from the old switch, sliding the new one in and reconnecting the wires. It was very easy to find the part on the website. I just located the switch on the diagram and ordered the part. I really surprised my husband that I ordered the part and repaired the stove by myself. He was intending on calling a repairman, but I did it myself.
REMOVE BOTTOM OVEN PAN. REMOVE GAS DEFLECTOR. REMOVE GAS TUBE. UNPLUG WIRE. REMOVE TOP AND BOTTOM SCREWS ON IGNITER. REPLACE IGNITER AND REATTACH IGNITER SCREWS. RE-INSERT IGNITER PLUG. REPLACE GAS TUBE AND DEFLECTOR. REPLACE OVEN BOTOOM PAN.
Following details from the installation video, after removing the main gas line and the two output lines I removed the four screws that removed the valve but found it was easier to remove and install the new one if I first removed the oven burner(it made for lining up the valve nozzle to the burner easier) from the inside, 3 wires attach on the side towards the stove taking one wire from the old valve and putting it on the new valve in the same place. Everything went back together just fine, I did have some problem with tightening one of the two gas lines for the output and found I just had to keep tightening it a little until there were no bubbles appearing when I applied soapy water to the connections, other than that it was very straight forward.
Removed grills. Removed bottom plate. Removed flame shield. Removed igniter, 2 hex head screws. Bottom one is a bit awkward. Disconnected wire. Installed new igniter. Careful not to drop stuff in the hole. Like a socket. I did
Remove the side covers. Remove the 2 screws on the back side of the door, hold on to the glass and front panel, they will fall out. remove the 2 screws holding the handle. Put the new handle in place and insert screws, note the old handle had metal inserts that are threaded, the new does not. Had to push very hard and let the screws bite into the plastic.
Oven would lite once and after that it would just click 3 times and nothing, click 3 times and the same thing!
Removed the bottom pan and heat shield plate, removed the drawer to get to the igniter disconnect the one wire from it and removed it and just repeated the same process backwards to put the new one in. All under 15 mins
