Rear bearing was squeaking
Repair went just according to the video except to pull the drum out there was a plastic lock at the front of the dryer. It was held in by one screw and easy to take off. When I pulled the drum out the armature and spring that hold the belt tight fell off. I panicked a little, but easily put the pieces back in place. When I started the dryer for the first time it sounded odd but realized it was the sound of all the grease spreading itself around the bearing.

Dryer would not start at all
Used wiring diagram in back of machine control head. UNPLUG DRYER! Removed panel off control head and motor access cover at bottom of dryer. Tested door switch continuity first, then continuity from control timer to motor. Found open circuit on white wire. Opened top of machine (pops up at front) and found thermal limiter on back of machine was burned and caused open circuit. It's a little awkward to get to the screws with the drum in place. Use a 30º angle ratching 1/4" ratchet wrench with a magnetic #2 phillips bit.

My dryer was squealing, which we ignored for awhile, then the dryer was beginning to have trouble turning.
I followed the video on your site which was very helpful and informative. The one thing that proved to be more difficult than it appeared in the video was reengaging the belt. Every time we tried to do it in the way the video showed, the tensioner arm would come off. The belt was very tight, even with that arm pulled back. We ended up just putting the drum part way in and then putting the belt on the arm and motor, and then stretching it over the drum. Perhaps because it was new, it was so tight. The rest was a breeze. Just followed the video. Was quoted $310 for this repair and I did it for $40! Thanks for your help and website! What a break in a terrible economy. You helped us out!

Dryer element burned out
First I watched the video available on the web site. After watching the video, I knew exactly what to do and how to do it. Really made the job a lot easier than it would have been. Some steps were harder to do than the video made them look but I atribute a lot of that to the fact that they were working in a large work shop and I was working in an area not a lot larger than the dryer. The hardest part of the job had nothing to do with changing the element, it dealt more with getting the vent hose off and on. Who ever designed the connection apparartus on dryers, used to connect that stupid hose to the back of it, must know something I don't. I have never had any luck when it comes to being able to get the hose connected and then getting the dryer back in the hole it came out of, without the hose falling off or getting crimped. PartSelect is a great company to deal with. Ordering was easy due to the highly intuitive web site and I got the part in two days. Saved me a lot of time running around town, burning a bunch of gas trying to find find what I needed. Thanks

Dryer was squeaking loudly.
followed the video instructions....easy as pie. Glad i bought the belt too....the belt on my dryer was very worn. Changed the bearing with the kit. Very easy to do. The whole job was done in an hour and a half....back together and running without the squeak. Glad i repaired instead of buying a new dryer. Next time i have a problem with an appliance, i will be checking PartSelect first.

No heat to dryer
Your tutorial video of how to change out the heating element was so helpful, it gave me the confidence to tackle it on my own. It was so detailed, there was no worries of not knowing what to do. Everything was exactly as the video showed, and was very easy to replace this heating element. My wife was thrilled we saved money on doing it ourselves, and grateful to have the dryer working with 3 kids and a husband who works in concrete! Thank You to the Parts Select team for putting such a helpful site for people to utilize!

dryer timer knob broke and would not turn
Just slid it on and took 2 minutes. Fit perfectly. I thought item was expensive throughout searching on the internet for a replacement dial but no local stores had it in stock and they would have to order and it was for the same price as I got it. Decided to order it myself so it would be shipped to my home. Very satisfied with product.
