The dryer wasnt drying as fast and was making a lot of noise.
Followed the directions from the video about that particular part. I am 57 and it was fairly simple to do.

noise and not drying well
It was as easy as the repair film said it was . But after spending the money for the upper and lower baring seals I put it all back together and the motor started making a loud noise ? I took the drum and everything out and started the motor without the drum just the motor was running and the danged motor is going out now !I checked the price of a new motor its not to bad but with all of the parts I have put in this thing I could have paid part of what it would have cost for a new dryer ! I put it all back together and hope it last long enough to at least recoup some of what I have spent ,But the new parts work good !

Dryer tumbled and cycled but would not get hot, and maded a slight squeking noise.
Looked in inspection hole at the bottom right underside of dryer. Through small inspection hole saw now glowing. Figured igniter was bad. Removed front panel by extracting two screws on the left and right side of front panel at the top. Lift top slightly, pull front out and unplug wires and remove from brackets at the bottom. Inspected Front Drum Bearing which was cracked. Ordered new one. Inspected Drum Bearing Slides, ordered two new ones. To get to Igniter had to first shut of the gas supply at the gas flex before the dryer connection. Then used a 1" box/open ended wrench to disconnect gas pipe from the gas valve, bottom front right of dryer. Had to cut black electrical tape holding more than one wiring harness wires. Removed two bracket screws, bottom right front, disconnected wiring harnesses from gas valve, and had to bend straight a metal tab holding gas assembly to bottom bracket which is attached to the bottom of the dryer. Igniter is attached to the bottom side of the gas valve and burner assembly. Removed Igniter assembly and wiring harness (one screw). Reversed instructions to re-assemble. Note: gas pipe attached to the gas valve might come through the dryer from the back. Might need to pull dryer out and have someone else pull the gas flex and gas dryer pipe back to hook up the gas valve again.

No Heat!
First up, remove the two screws that hold the top cover on - you can see them when you open the front door. Once those are out, close the front door and pull off the top cover. Remove two more screws (one on each side) that hold the front panel in place, then undo the clips and move the front off to the side - you don't need to unplug the harness for the door, it's long enough to move out of the way. I had to remove the drum next - it's held in place by 3 Torx head screws on the rear wall of the drum. Once the screws are out, you can slide the drum forward and off the belt so you have enough room to replace the igniter. The ignitor is down below on the right side, held in place with one screw, under a gray ceramic piece that (I assume) directs the flame - that part is held in place with two screws. Once that is out, you can undo the 2-prong connector, and use a short Philips screwdriver to remove the igniter. Be careful installing the new one, as the ceramic tip is fragile. Reassembly wasn't too bad, but it really helped to have an extra pair of hands to start the screws that hold the drum in place on the rear bearing. Since everything was apart, I also replace the drum sliders - this particular dryer uses 4 of them, and it spins nice and quiet again!

The plastic grid behind the lint filter started cracking with pieces breaking off. This caused delicate clothes to get tangled and twirled on the broken pieces.
I watched the installation video a of couple of times and followed the instructions. Two screws under the dryer door then the top comes off. Then two screws hold the front on come out. Unplugged the two wires to the switch. Removed the duct assembly. Cleaned up the door and snapped in the new duct assembly. Re-installed the door and then the top. Everything was easy - just like in the video.

Noise while drum is rolling and at start up
Reviewed problems with the dryer on line and ordered the parts. The only problem is that it takes two types of slide bearings which I did not order correctly. The video was great and had no problem installing the parts.

The dryer was making a loud noise
I initially thought it was the clothes causing an imbalance, however upon further inspection I found the front felt bearing was shredded and missing, thus the loud noise.I retrieved my GE owners manual and went online, there I found the link to PartSelect. I found PartSelect was absolutely user friendly and even had DIY videos on the replacement, genius!I was able to order the parts I needed that night, and they were shipped to my doorstep within 3 days, unbelievable!I was able to make the repair quickly and safely.I plan to use PartSelect in the future, and recommend them to people I know. Thanks again

Dryer was making a super loud horrible sound.
I didn't do it, my husband did all the work. He showed me which parts he thought was making the noise, which was kind of obvious. The small drum slide was melted, or something, it was gone. So we first ordered 1 slide and drum bearing, which fixed the noise, but he noticed the other drum slides were "gone" so I ordered another 2 of those. The dryer is back to its old self, not making any noise. We really didn't know what the problem was until looking on the site and seeing the most common problem, and luckily we got it fixed. I was ready to buy another new dryer.....good thing hubby wanted to work on it before buying....saved tons of cash.
