Original screws too long for newly designed handle

Unfortunately, the stock screws were slightly too long for the replacement handle (which is a different design than the original handle). The tips of the screws came through the plastic in order to ensure the handle was firmly attached and flush with the door.

Microwave would not cook

All the electrics worked on Amana microwave EXCEPT for the cooking function. Inspected the control board and found the upper switch on the door interlock was burnt. Installed new switch in minutes and everything now works fine. Unfortunately, had to purchase expensive two switch "kit" although only one switch was kaput. PartsSelect mailing was SUPER fast. Thanks for looking, Scott

burnt out light bulb

The problem I have with changing the bulb is my microwave is an overhead one and therefore I cannot tip it on its side to easily replace the bulb. I have to drop the lid down and carefully install the new bulb from underneath.
