Handle broke from latch assembly
Used a battery operated screwdriver to remove white inner-door panel. Latch assembly unscrews as inner-door assembly unscrews. Two white wire gromets are pulled off of copper posts on the latch assembly. I needed to pry slightly with a screw driver. Attached the gromets onto the new assembly and then screwed inner panel back to door. Very simple assembly.

door latch was jammed up inside the door
Shut off the electric, Took off the door inside panel with a hex driver, found the latch to be broken, piece fell to the bottom of door. I used a needle nose pliers to take off the old piece, pushed the new part onto the contacts, replaced the screws, done. Found the lights on the door panel going off every few minutes, faulty switch, ordered a new one, came in lightning fast time, re installed all ok. Very easy for anyone, I am a 63 yr old woman, dont say I can't until you "TRY".

Plastic handle failed at pivot point
Turned power off at the breaker. Removed nine of the eleven screws that hold the inner door panel to the outer panel leaving the two bottom screws loosened but in place to retain the alignment between the two halves. Separated the two halves at the top by about three inches using folded dish towels to maintain the separation. The entire latch and handle assembly lifts out with the electrical connections in place. Carefully pried the push-on AMP type connectors off with a soft pry tool. Put connectors on the replacement latch switches and dropped the latch and handle back in place. Removed towels, put two door halves back in place, replaced all screws finger tight, assured that the door aligned with the mating face of the dishwasher cabinet (its very twist-able when the screws are loose)carefully tightened a couple of screws, again checking the door alignment with the cabinet and then final tightened the screws. Done

Door would not close - latch broken
1. Turned off power. 2. Unscrewed ten screws holding inside of door in place. 3. Lifted cover enough to access latch - helpful to have someone to hold this while doing the job. 4. Disconnected old latch assembly on each side - this was the hardest part as they were stiff and needed to be pulled hard. 5. Attached new latch assembly. 6. Screwed door panel back on. 7. Switched power back on. So easy and saved about $150. This stuff is NOT HARD and I just wish more people had the gumption to do repairs themselves instead of paying 'experts' to do exactly the same job.

Dishwasher latch was broken
Our local repairman retired so my husband and I decided we had nothing to loose in trying to repair our old dishwasher. We found the latch problem after we removed the inside door panel with allen wrenches, took phone pictures of the part and wrote down all of the numbers we could find. I went to the Part Select web site and tried to identify the part, but it seemed to be obsolete. I called the 888 number and talked to Ruben, the part was orderd in minutes and delivered in 2 days. We had sprayed the old part with WD 40 and the new part was installed in minutes-Perfect! Thank you!

Handle was Broken
I watched the video on how to remove and replace the handle, then, using a T20 star screwdriver, I removed the assembly following the steps in the video which let me see what I needed to order. Once I had the new assembly, I repeated the process and replaced the assembly. I used the pliers to pull/pry the wire terminals from the assembly. It was simple because I had seen it all done on the video.

Dishwasher Door would not close
I thought I would have to buy a new dishwasher, which I could not afford at the time. I did some online research to find out what the problem likely was, went onto your site, and saw the part, watched the instructional video, which ws very informative, as I was able to buy the special screwdriver I needed. I ordered the part. It came two days later. I installed it a few minutes after it arrived, and was doing dishes that night! Thank you!

Needed special tool to remove the inner door and drill would fit. Had to unscrew by hand. Could not get metal prongs out of spade. Pulled and tuged for a long while.
Once disassembly was done, it wasn't that difficult. Had to hand screw everything back,

Black handle broke and door would not lock anymore
The video for this repair was helpful, and the only issue that I had was changing the electric connections that are held on tightly with plastic clips that need to be pried open for removal and replacement. MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT POWER AT YOUR FUSE BOX!!

door handle broke in half
Piece of cake, 'even for a girl.' Removed the screws holding on door panel, used pliers to remove two electrical connections (throw the breaker first!)because they were so tight. Hooked up the new assembly, re-assembled door panel with screws, and that bad boy started right up. So proud to avoid a $150 service call with a $22 part!
