The door latch snapped off
I removed the screws holding the front of the door to the inner door. I un-snapped the two electrical connectors and snapped them on the new part. I fit the new latch mechanism to the door front and screwed the inner and outer doors together. The other stories that were posted were a big help. It could not have been simpler. I was surprised and impressed at the web site and how easy and fast it was to obtain the correct part and fix it myself.

the handle broke and did not allow the proper connection to operate the dishwasher
I removed all the screws holding the inside panel to the door. Two of the screws held the Door Latch Assembly in place. Once I got the new Assembly, I removed the wires connected to the old one and attached the wires to the new one, paying attention to which one connected to which side. I screwed all the screws in and tested the dishwasher and everything worked fine. Easiest repair I've ever done.

Handle and door latch broke
I am not an appliance repairman but I will try anything once. If I break it or screw something up, who cares. It was already broken right? This was a simple and easy repair. Removed the torx head screws. Lifted the inside door assembly. Propped it up with a wooden block. This allowed me to remove the old handle and door latch without having to remove any wiring except for the door switches built into the replacement assembly. Marked the lower wire on each of the wiring connectors attached to the switches. This saved me worrying about whether or not I had the connector the correct way. Lifted the old handle and door latch out. Removed the connectors using pliers. Try gently rocking them back and forth to avoid breaking the switches as they can be reused if they are still good. Plugged the connectors into the new switches and dropped the handle and door latch in place. Removed the wooden block and set the inner door back in place. Note: 2 screws that hold the inner door in place also hold the handle and door latch. Replaced the screws and ran a load of dishes. All together it took me less than 10 minutes to replace the handle and door latch.

The plastic door latch broke
First, I removed the screws holding the inter liner to expose the broken part. I then removed the handle assemble, the broken part. I then got on the internet and serached for a parts place replacement company and I found Parts Select. I entered my request and purchased the replacement part within minutes. The part arrived in a couple of days and I installed it without a problem. Great service!

Door handle broken
I first disconnected the power to the dishwasher. Then opened the door and removed the 11 hex bit screws holding the back onto the door. The latch assembly with the handle is held in place with 2 of the back screws already removed. I unplugged the 2 plugs on the old latch assembly and reinstalled the new one in reverse order. Very easy job just make sure you don't reverse the plugs. Remove and reinstall them one at a time. The new latch assembly is very good quality and even comes with new switches.

Door Latch Handle Broken
Luckily, I had read "how-to" feedback posted by others on the PartSelect website.
Most people had commented on how fast they received the part. I have to also praise PartSelect for how fast they had the part delivered -- the next day.
Following the advice of others: I unplugged the dishwasher, removed the door panel screws, slide the panel to the right, lifted the broken handle from its brackets, used needle nose pliers to removed the two electrical connectors, dropped in the new part, and reversing the procedures, reconnected everything.
My thanks to others who took time to post their "how-to" guidance. Again, it really helped. And again, thanks to PartSelect for getting the part to me so fast.

Door handle broke
Shut off electric supply. Remove inside panel with T-20 torque driver. Disconect plugs. Remove latch assembly. Install new assembly. Reconect plugs. Reassemble inside panel. I ordered part on Wednesday evening, received it on Friday, and installed it in about 20 minutes start to finish. Won't order parts any where else. Cheaper including shipping than local parts store.

Maytag Dishwasher Door Latch broken
Remember to switch off the connection to the dishwasher FIRST!!
remove all the screws from the door and used pliers to unplug the 2 switches and attach the new part. It looks very easy to repair but needed lot of effort as removing the broken part was the toughest. Had to break open the switch and remove the teeth of the switch.

Plastic Door Latch Broken
Unplugged electricity to dishwasher, unscrewed the interior cover, pulled out the handle and latch assembly, had some difficulty unplugging the electrical connections(best to insert a regular screwdriver tip in between and twist), removed the assembly, then plugged in the new assembly noting to remember which wires go to which side, and then reattaching the interior cover, plug back in the electricity. Really simple fix. PS: The 2nd time this has happened, the first time under warranty with maint. man doing the work.

Broken Handle on Admiral Dishwasher
Just like all the other forums state, the old one comes out easy and the new one goes on just as easy and works perfectly. No issues or hiccups. I did do it a little differently though. I pulled off the two switches on either side of the new and old handle and put the already wired (old) switches on the new handle. Made the job easier in my opinion and hey, it wasn’t the switches that were broken just the handle, so no need to replace them.
