Dishes and glasses were left with little specks of food on them.
We watched the very excellent video on this web site for replacing the Accumulator Filter and followed the instructions it provided. It's possible that we could have just cleaned our existing accumulator filter once we understood what it was and how to get to it, but the results of replacing it have been dramatic. It's like a new dishwasher.

Dishwarsher was making loud almost grinding type noise
I followed the video instructions except I had no idea what tools he was using because he talked so fast, but I figured it out myself. I could not get the guard off but I worked around it. Then I took off the discharge piece. The impeller needed to come off and I unscrewed it but the impeller was stuck tight to the diswasher. It did not slide off like in the video. I ended up having to break up the impeller with pliers until it fell apart enough to take off. That was the only semi difficult part. I replaced impeller. The new screw I ordered did not fit on my machine??? So I used the old one again. I reassembled all and the dishwasher now works good. Still makes a little noise which could be normal. Nothing like it was making.

Not cleaning top rack
After installing a new filter, :( I tried this. I wish I would have done this first since it's way cheaper and easier!!! If your dishwasher slowly starts to decline in its ability to clean the dishes, it's probably this problem.

Food chopper was broken.
Followed video. Everything went together fine, but leaked water around motor shaft seal. Read comments section on video and someone had the same problem. I had pushed the seal into base too deep. I pulled it out and reseated it. It worked without leaking after that. Bob

The glasses on the top rack had food particles in them after a wash cycle
I initially took everything out and cleaned everything with the shop vac, and outside with the garden hose. That did not work, so I looked on parts select for a new accumulator filter, as I was not able to clean that very well. To install the new filter, I removed the sliding racks, top and bottom, and the water manifold, then removed the lower wash arm, then the parts under that, the filter plate, the outlet, the impeller, all the way to the accumulator filter. After removing that, installation was the reverse. I also cleaned the middle washing arm, and the lower, as I noticed food particles blocking the outer holes. All is good now, and the dishwasher, which we use almost every day, is working fine.

Dishwasher Did Not Clean And Drain Properly
Routine repair. There are videos on the net that show exactly how to replace the filter unit. However, when you order the filter, order a replacement pump impeller. The impeller must be removed to remove the filter on this model. The impeller was stuck on the shaft, and I had to destroy it with the side cutter pliers to get it off. Before putting the new one on, clean the pump shaft thoroughly and lube the shaft with silicon lube or vaseline jelly. Clean the bottom of the water pan thoroughly, then reassemble. Then pour one cup of vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher and run it with no dishes. This will clean the inside of the dishwasher.
