I heard a loud SNAP and the door would no longer stay in a half opened position.
I viewed the online video where the installation procedures were presented. Removal of the dishwasher from the counter was very easy since it was retained in place by two small screws attaching the top of the appliance to the underside of the counter. The appliance could then be pulled out into the kitchen sufficently to reach the springs on the lower sides. A thermal insulation blanket covered the appliance and had to be lifted to work on the lower side of the dishwasher. One spring was adrift beneath the appliance and its detachment was the loud SNAP that I heard. The spring was easily recovered and reattached to the rear of the appliance and then then working one side at a time I first removed the old parts and reinstalled the door balance link to replace the broken cord. I then changed out the other side to complete the job.

Replacement of leading door seal.
I followed the on line video instructions and the repair was completed with a hitch. The seal did not display the 'white stripe', but the enclosed illustration cleared up any question I had about proper insertion. The part arrived within 24 hrs of shipment! I will use Parts Select exclusively in the future! No more big bucks to have a Sears guy simply plug in a new part.

Squeaking unbalanced door.
I looked on your website under our model number. There I found various descriptions for the problem I had. Under the problem column, I found the possible parts needed. Turns out I needed new door pulleys and ropes. We watched the video provided by your site, pulled out the dishwasher, and changed out the ropes and wheel assemblys. Squeak is gone, door is balanced. Mission accomplished!

Door spring mechanism failure
The hardest part was pulling the dishwasher out for the repair. I had to disconnect the water line to get the 2 feet required. Replacing the part took minutes. The springs were hard to extend in the limited space so I used pliers to pull them.
