would not make ice
I got the new part and unplugged the refrigerator. I removed the wire auto shut-off. I removed the old motor assy. I checked to see if the motor quit running at the same locations as the new one before removing the entire ice maker. Lucky it did, so I installed the new motor assy without having to remove the ice maker. It took 10 minutes at the most.

Ice maker stopped making ice
Verified that the sensors were working. After removing the Ice maker assembly from the sliding track, I found that the indexed drive wheel on the motor had broken off from the shaft mounting. I ordered the Icemaker control and motor assembly from Partselect and swapped out the bad part. It only has three screws to remove and replace so it's fast and easy to fix.

Light switch in the refrigerator was faulty from the first day we installed the fridge.
I had ordered some other parts for something entirely different off your website and service was great. So after almost ten years of a dark refrigerator, because of a defective switch, I decided to see if you had the part to fix it... You did and the part got here in 3 days. I had a working light switch and all the light in the world where my husband needed it most (in the fridge). It took me at the most ten minutes to replace the part. All is well now and I have a happy husband who can find the leftovers just fine. Thanks for your great service!

Icemaker Didn't Work and Leaked Water in Freezer
After googling for a parts supplier, PartSelect.com came up. The site was well done and had the Parts List conveniently available. I watched the associated video which was the highest quality "how-to" repair video I have seen. As it turns out, though, the icemaker does not have to be removed from the freezer unit. I removed the icemaker's shutoff lever, removed 3 screws, pulled the motor assy off, slid the new motor assy in place and re-installed 3 screws. Reinstalled the shutoff lever per the video and JOB DONE.

Ice Maker was not dispensing ice out the door.
I took the cover off below the ice container to expose the auger motor. Unplugged the electrical hook up in the motor and removed 4 screws and the auger motor dropped out. Set the new auger motor in replacing with the 4 screws. Plugged the line back in the motor replaced the cover. Done. Problem is, still no ice dispensed through the door. Push a glass against the lever to get ice and the door opens as if it is going to dispense and the door pops shut. No ice. Checked the wire harness under the cap on top of the freezer door hinge and saw no problem. Don't know what to do next but call the repair man.

Molded pins on bracket that hold microswitches sheared off.
Drilled holes where pins had sheared off. Replaced pins with 4-40 x 1" screws and nuts and fastened switches and spacers on bracket. Used Loctite threadlocker to prevent nuts from loosening and installed bracket. So far, both ice and water dispensers are working fine.
