Compressor and condenser fan would operate but the evaporator fan in freezer and fridge would not come on. Freezer would ice up some and the water dispensor would not operate. Read through electrical schematics and narrowed down the problem along with reading some blogs on your sight. I never used m
Since I work out of town, I was able to track my part enroute to my house. They were right down to the time and where it was placed at my house. When my wife got home, she was able to install the part herself, she reset the timer and fired the fridge up and has been running ever since. The part costed around $29.00 including shipping. Your sight was very useful and would highly recommend your company. Thanks, Bob

Warm top refrigerator, cold freezer with frost following Hurricane Sandy loss of electricity for one week.
Just like the video, except those doing this need to know that you'll be lying on your stomach to pull out and put back in the defrost timer, and because the wire for the plug was so short and difficult to remove but worse to plug back in, I had to remove the timer from the bracket and push the plug in before putting the bracket back on. Also the screws for the new bracket are much longer so I used the older screws, which were not easy to put in. As far as the thermostat is concerned, the difficulty was in replacing the evaporator panel, as I realized from looking at where the screws went in, that the smaller panel for the fan had to go first, using at least one screw then bending the panel around it, and in order to put it all back together you either need very long arms or have to get on your side inside the freezer, which is what I did. The fun part was when I realized, post repair, after the 24 hour waiting period at 4 then 5 setting, that the repair was actually working, and because of the great videos and service from this company, as well as the diagnostic help, I would definately use them again. Wonderful website and terrific service. That they want this kind of feedback, which I have always found useful in repairing lots of stuff (the last thing was my power washer), is a big plus. Thanks Parts Select! Joanne

Light switch in the refrigerator was faulty from the first day we installed the fridge.
I had ordered some other parts for something entirely different off your website and service was great. So after almost ten years of a dark refrigerator, because of a defective switch, I decided to see if you had the part to fix it... You did and the part got here in 3 days. I had a working light switch and all the light in the world where my husband needed it most (in the fridge). It took me at the most ten minutes to replace the part. All is well now and I have a happy husband who can find the leftovers just fine. Thanks for your great service!

Old gasket was torn
Disconnect the door from the unit and lay it flat to install the gasket, it's easier than leaving it on. Reattachment makes the process a bit longer but more effective.

Freezer to warm, running at 15-18 degrees F.
Repair turned out to be unnecessary because the compressor was just not supplying adequate cooling. Need new compressor or fridge. Condensor clean fan working, evaporator is ice free and fan working, defrost timer working, thermostat ok and cold control tested good. Fridge runs all the time but never satisfies cold control setting.

Light switch which turns on the lights when the door opens went out
This is an easy fix, simply remove and replace. What I was impressed with is that a how to video was provided along with my part. I wish all manufactures would offer this, the video was easy to understand and you had a good view of the operation. Thanks, a job well done.
