Smelling and smoking. Than stop.
I took the cabinet off and saw where the switch had been burnt. So I remove it and order another one from your company. And I put new clips on it with heat shrinks. We might get another 30 years out it, Although I'm 80 years old.
Under the microwave there are two light bulbs that light up the top of the oven/range.
Last week I removed the glass cover that was held in by one screw and removed the burnt out light bulb. I ordered the bulb and left the glass cover off until the bulb arrived. I had to wait until this evening to put the glass cover back on and fasten the screw because I have a window right next to the oven and the sun streaming in made it too difficult for me to see how to put the glass back in and replace the screw.
Ordered new support (price was less than Postage) Ordered for Microwave, should have ordered for Convection Microwave. Filed side SS to fit part ordered, after much filing got the new part (wrong) into the side panel. Looks great, wrong color but should be OK/
Right hand surface lamp burned out. It apparently fald up and broke the glass cover. I wne on line when I found out the only local deaaler was some miles away and more expensive.
Simple. The parts came instantly. The glass was too big so I had it cut to size. I unscrewed the fixture with a screw driver replaced the bulb and slipped the glass cover into the frame and screwed the whole assembly in.
One of the two screws that held the handle to the microwave was broken off, leaving a flimsy handle that would probably break completely off soon.
Removed the screws on the inside of the microwave door that held the handle on the front in place. The old, broken handle easily came off. The new piece fix perfectly and we just put the screws back in. Back in service!
One support always fell out/ other was fried to the wall
Because of it's age and my memory of it's wall installation problems, I was extremely happy to find the parts. Merely popped the old "fried " support bracket out, snapped it the two replacement brackets and I was back in business with a "new" spark free appliance. Thanks ever so much! Smooth, "no brainer" installation! Extremely pleased with results!
I unscrewed the remaining stubs and replaced the handle. Unfortunately, despite care, I was unable to tighten the top screw sufficient to seat the handle securely against the door. I fear the new handle will fracture.
time would count down but unit would not run & heat.
remove cover, unplug secondary door switch (top switch) remove switch from holder, install new switch, plug in wires, replace cover, very easy. door switches are a common problem with microwave ovens.
Super easy repair, getting the part was just as easy. I did a simple search with the model number and was able to verify that the part I was ordering was the correct one by using the many pictures and diagrams available. Thank you for providing such a user friendly site as I hate sending stuff back. Although I hope my appliances last a long time if I ever need repair parts again you can be sure that I'll use this site.
