Door latch would not allow you to remove food when done cooking
Turned breaker off at panel first. Removed three sheet metal screws holding top control panel with 8mm socket, removed the two 8mm nuts holding the locking mechanism in and one 8 pin plug, replaced with new part. Put back control panel and I was enjoying homemade oatmeal cookies 30 minutes later. We were using a toaster oven for months until I found the part from this site. The GE repair guy wanted $900.00 to fix it. The part was only $165.00 from this site. Thanks folks!

Smelling and smoking. Than stop.
I took the cabinet off and saw where the switch had been burnt. So I remove it and order another one from your company. And I put new clips on it with heat shrinks. We might get another 30 years out it, Although I'm 80 years old.

Light burnt out.
Turned the wire protector to the side. Turned out the old bulb and replaced it with the new. Turned the wire protector back in place and I'm like new.

The roller guide broke where it fits over the turning mechanism.
removed the glass turning plate. removed the broken roller guide. replaced with the new one. I am very happy with not only the ease of fixing the problem, but how quickly I got the replacement part. I will use PartSelect again!!! And I will tell my friends.

time would count down but unit would not run & heat.
remove cover, unplug secondary door switch (top switch)
remove switch from holder, install new switch, plug in wires, replace cover, very easy. door switches are a common problem
with microwave ovens.

Microwave will not start
Removed three screws from the top front cover and slide it out and following I removed the touch panel and the housing that holds the switches and replaced the bad one.

oven wouldn't heat
remove cover-unplug wires from secondary switch-remove switch-snap in new switch-plug in wires-replace cover-works great. very easy to do.

Microwave died-no display-15amp fuse blows
I shut off power to the microwave, discharged the Hi-voltage capaciator and disconnected the wires to it, then removed the screw and bracket that held the capaciator in place. After removing and replacing the capaciator, reattaching wires and mounting bracket, and replacing the 15amp fuse, the microwave woked fine.

Light worked, timer and control pad worked, but no turntable, no heat, no noises of any sort, just didn't start up
It was a snap using the instructions given. The key is getting into the unit. I did have to use a multimeter to find the failed switch since there are two of that type.
