JSD2789GES Jenn-Air Refrigerator - Instructions

Emptied everything on the door, Removed the top hinge bracket then lifted the door off the bottom pin. Placed door on counter top, removed door closure with cup part on the bottom of the door. Installed the new closure cup. Removed lower hinge pin bracket and removed/ replaced the lower hinge pin part. Lubricated both pieces with white grease. Reinstalled lower bracket and placed door on pin. Reinstalled the upper bracket, aligned the door for proper closure and alignment. Verified door closure, job completed .

ordered this part first thinking it was the water line issue. we fixed it and it was not that hard but it did not solve the problem. We ended up ordering the icemaker part and installed it and it works fine now. I should have ordered the inside part first and then the valve but it is new now.

I removed three screws from top hinge. Lifted door off bottom hinge and set door on a flat surface. Replaced part and set door back in place. Put screws back and door fit tight again.

Your video was very helpful and accurate. However, my freezer is a bottom drawer type, so I needed to remove the freezer door first. There were 4 nutscrews which needed to be loosened, and door lifted off. Now with the door off, and both baskets removed, access to the ice maker was easy like your video. Also, the freezer compartment was much more accessible for cleaning as well. In 2 days after replacing the ice maker, we have had 2 full batches of ice, with full sized cubes! Your replacement part was identical in all respects to the original equipment even though Dacor was not included in your list of compatible brands.

watched the video you have on installation and followed it with ease. The only part you need a tool is to loosen the first nut and then everything else pretty much pops out and you reinstall with the new part. The icemaker worked within an hour and makes perfect cubes. The videos are super helpful.

Getting the old ice maker out was not difficult - it sits on a small ridge built into the freezer and then it takes three screws to attach it to the side of the refrigerator. Three important things to remember: (1) take off the metal bar that shuts off the ice maker from the old part, the new part doesn't come with the bar; (2) keep the screws and the cap from the old ice maker as they don't come with the replacement part either; and (3) make sure you put the water tube back into the holder otherwise it will pour all over the freezer (and not into the ice tray).

unplug refrigerator, take backing off with nut driver. Pull old blade off and put new blade on. Put backing back on and plug in.

Located the relay for compressor and took it apart and shook the relay and it rattled so I knew it must have been that. Also changed the run capacitor just to be safe. Works like a charm now.

Move refrigerated and turn off water and unplug elect. Remove ice Ben and guide on right side. Move one screw on the bottom and lousen tow screws on top. Remove ice maker to unhook electrical connection. Transfer parts from old one to the new one . Revise the removal of it and when done .Plug in cord and turn on water. If you have done everything very carefully you will have ice in a few hours.Good luck.
