They send you just the guts, the inner core of the icemaker, and don't include the back piece that has the motor to rotate the screw-drive dispenser and the blower. You get 2 wiring harnesses, and since no instructions come with, you get to figure out which one. The replacement has a few different plugs than the original and those competent can determine which without too much problem. One obstacle was the grounding screw which was inaccessible without removing another part which would have added greatly to the difficulty. I snipped off the old wire and the ring-terminal on the new one and joined the two with a wire clasp. Works like a charm. I had previously replaced the cycling thermostat and checked that the water valve solenoid was within the proper ohm boundaries-don't spend the money for the whole thing without trying those first! Mine must be an odd model because no YouTube videos showed the icemaker from this model.
Removed old ice maker by removing 3 screws, unplugged wiring harness. Replaced with new ice maker, placed three screws back to secure the ice maker, plugged wire harness back, and product is working well at this time.
Pan is easy part, fan motor assembly is appliance orgami
Remove back cover Remove drip thing from top to tray in the back Remove fan motor assembly. This is squirrely. Top bends towards you, bottom pushes in to the unit. Not fun. CAREFULLY remove copper tube that rests on drip tray Remove tray - there are clips in the front that get released by screwdriver Clean up Replace new tray Replace copper tube Play with fan motor assembly till it fits. It doesn't look like it's gonna work until it does. See youtube videos on this. Replace drip thing from top to tray - I forgot this one the first time. Replace cover.
This is a simple, but squirrely, repair. Right on the border of easy (because so few tools and steps) and A Bit Difficult because of the patience required.
Once the part arrived, which was very quickly BTW..all I had to do was remove the old filter and then just screw the new one into place....Now I just happen to be both female and blonde but was able to get the job done in less than 15 minutes (that includes opening the box) and with very little water dripping from the old filter!!! Looks like I could work as the Maytag repair woman soon!!
I got really tired of taking food out covered in icicles and stabbing a huge block of ice out of the bottom. Turns out all he needed was a little wheel with cogs and I looked up the sticker model number on this site and clicked the part of the fridge. So simple, wish I would’ve done it sooner.
Open and remove door by loosening two screws on both sides of the door. Lift up and away the door.place the door on flat surface, grab and lift up on seal pulling out of reach. Clean track, alone seal on food before pressing in place. Check to make sure seal is set in place. Install door job done.
The ice selector solenoid was a snap to replace. You do have to pull the ice maker out. I looked on you tube to find out how to take off the wire cover and how to release the ice maker so it will slide out. Firmly grab it and pull try to keep it level while pulling and it will slide out better. After removed its 2 small screws and a release clamp to get the old part off and snap the new one in replace screws and wires. The toughest part of this was figuring out that it was the solenoid in the first place. Best of luck do it yourselfers like me.
First found U Tube video of my exact refrigerator, ice maker remove and replace. Many available, all are helpful. Watch several times. Once part arrived the repair went very smoothly. Only had some difficulty attaching the ground wire, had to loosen the auger motor to attach the tiny screw. Not difficult, just took a bit of time to get the angle on the screw correct.

Ice tray sticking. No ejection of ice. Motor not working properly
Took out ice maker. Then unscrewed tray after opening old turn motor clock panel and carefully detaching wires from socket(s) where needed. Put in and screwed in new tray with the new motor clock. Replaced wires into new sockets. Put the whole maker back into place. Makes great ice.
the locking latch to the water filter cover had been broken for a while
Open the existing cover and carefully with the thumb and index fingers, pry the cover at over the left pin and remove the cover. Place the replacement onto the right pin and pry the left placing it over the left and you are done.
Water not draining to pan. It caused an ice build up under the freezer draw
Remove the grate at the back of the refrigerator. Remove the existing drawn tube. Replace the exiting drain tube with the updated drain tube. Check to see if water was draining properly. Replace the grate. Sit back and have a beer.
