removed old valve, installed the new one. ice maker back to making ice.

Ordered the part from "parts select". Removed old part, installed new part by unscrewing the old switch, simply cutting supply hose ...pluging in the new part and re-attaching water supply line. 10 minutes at most.

I monitored the ice maker after it stopped working and noticed it was not filling with water. I loosened the water feed hose to the single valve outlet and the water feed was fine. However, the single valve outlet never activated to turn on the water feed. I disconnected the waterfeed and electrical connection from the single valve outlet and removed it. Replaced it with the new one, reconnected the water feed valve and electrical connection....allowed the ice maker to cycle and it started filling the ice maker with water right away. First I flipped breaker to off position for refigerator, Pulled down on socket and broke it free. Then took needle nose piars to pull wire and plug out from hole, so I could conect to new light socket then snaped it in place . Hardest part was getting wire and plug out of hole.

Move unit out to access rear. Unplug unit. Shut off water supply. Remove lower cover with phillips screwdriver. Remove valve and both water lines. Install water lines back into new valve and install valve back into position. Turn on water supply and check for leaks. Install cover. Plug unit back into wall. Let icemaker produce some cubes to make sure everything is working correctly before pushing unit back into position. Very easy!

With help from this site, It was one of three things. I thought it might be what this site suggested the most common and it was. the valve in back of refrigerator at bottom. Water comming to it, but not getting past. Ordered part. Was here in a few days. Real easy to change out. A few screw / bolts and one wire that fit only one way. I did have to bend new bracket to make it fit. Now have lots of ice cubes!

I removed the front of the unit assembly and removed the entire auger unit and drive assembly. I married the old drive cup and new drive cup back to back using vise grip pliers, drilled 4 3mm holes, installed 4 phillips head stainless steel screws and, using an emory wheel, ground off the exposed screw ends. I then re-installed the drive assembly and auger unit. This increased the length of the drive cup allowing the drive to fit without any slippage. The entire cost was less than $18.00 including shipping and screws and took about 1 hour. It works great.

I am a 68 year old woman that had hernia surgery (6) weeks ago so my friend did the replacement. I showed him the video of how to fix it and I felt like I could have done this myself because all you had to do was loosen a couple of screws to get into the back of refrigerator and pull out the bad part. It was like plugging in my cell phone for recharging I do everyday. Unbelievely easily. The price was great also. We priced part locally and they wanted $30.00 and your part was $18.25 plus shipping. Shipping was unbelievely quick also. It was shipped within (2) days after ordering. Very satisfied.

Really easy- turned off ice maker, powered down appliance briefly. Removed ice maker by removing 3 screws with 1/4 nut driver. Unplugged ice maker from power supply. Removed and replaced solenoid arm assembly. Reversed steps and whammy - ice cubes dropped.

I started removing the switch by prying on the right side with a screwdriver, when it emerged enough I used pliers to finish removing it. I then unpluged rhe wires from the bad switch and pluged them on the new switch and "poped" it into the hole.
