Door would not close.
With my wife's help, we emptied the door shelves and removed the door to the kitchen table. The video and instructions for replacing the parts were 100% right. We probably spent more time cleaning the door bottom and gasket than actually changing the hinge assembly! The job went very smoothly and saved us from overspending on a repair to this old fridge, or worse, making a quick decision on buying a new one.

Refrigeratior door of side by side would not close
I viewed a how-to video on partselect.com. I removed all items from the door shelves. Used a screw driver to remove the top "hinge" plate. Used a nutdriver to remove the door hinge plate. Removed door, laid on it's side-hinge side up (if you don't have a helper, lay it on a flat service). Simply removed the broken bottom plate and replaced with new part, and reinstalled on refrigerator. Super Simple!

Refrigerator became warm.
I followed the instructions of the other DIY selfers wrote on how they took it apart and put it back together. Only thing that took longer was melting the ice. Other than that they gave good instructions. Had it out and back in within 10 maybe 15 mins. most. Have a brand new fridge, probably could last me another 18 years.

Refrigerator and freezer not cold enough
First, depending on when you find out your problem, be prepared to toss out spoiled food. Unplug the unit. Since you must allow the ice build up on the coil to melt, be prepared for water. Use towels placed under the coil in the freezer to soak this up or it will end up on the floor. Remove ice maker bucket as the ice will melt, that is if there is any. In my case the defrost timer was bad but I later learned that my defrost heater was also bad. Do yourself a favor and change both the defrost timer and defrost heaters. This issue is generally an age issue so replacing both will give you peace of mind. Also, clean the whole freezer as this is the time to do it. You will be surprised at the ice maker bucket cleanliness. Time to prepare and clean is what takes additional time. Time to repair is short and simple. One last thing, when replacing the defrost timer try not to mess with the temp. control slides as you will have to put them back in the proper positions for reassembly of the cover.

Drawer side rails broken
With normal wear and tear over the course of ten years both of the side rails for the VC were broken. One side I successfully glued together with super glue and it has lasted more than a year. The other side kept breaking so I ordered a replacement part. Very easy installation just removed two screws (save them you will need them) and then put in the new part. Customer Service rep had no idea if the part I needed for the CSX20BA was the same as what I presume is the newer model with a longer ID code. She suggested I call GE. Not wanting to spend any more time on the phone I took a gamble and indeed it is the identical part.
