CSK28DRBGAA Hotpoint Refrigerator - Instructions

1) The large drawer is first removed from the guide that remained on the side wall.

2) Removal of the light shield from the rear of the glass shelf to facilitate glass shelf removal by lifting the rear edge of the glass and remove it.

3) Unscrew two phillips head screws holding the remaining pieces of the plastic guide to the interior side panel of the fridge.

4) Examine the replacement guide and insure that the nylon guide and stop parts are clicked into place. If unsure, look at the guide on the other side to ensure that both are present and completely seated before installation of the replacement guide. (These usually fall out of the guide during shipping and should be in the bag with the guide!)

5) Once the guide is outfitted with the nylon guides, secure the new guide with the two phillips screws and DO NOT over tighten, remember you are dealing with plastic guide and steel screws going into a steel cabinet.

6) Re-install the glass shelf, followed by the light shield and finally the large drawer which should slide out smoothly to the stop and back closed without any drag.

7) A successful installation usually includes giving the drawer and glass shelf a good cleaning that probably could be done to the entire fridge side of the unit.

I removed the shelves & drawers, then unscrewed the side rails (2 screws in each one). After screwing in the new rails (I had saved the screws from the old parts -the new rails did not come with screws), I only had to place the drawer & shelf back in the fridge and the job was done. It took maybe 5 minutes to replace.
I ordered the parts late morning on day one, day two the UPS man was at my door while I was eating breakfast! Less than 24 hrs. from order to delivery!

I would recommend removing the dor first as I had to do this after fighting with the drawer to get it out.
There is a cap on the hinge that has one screw, then two nuts and the door is off. From there the drawer rails are easily replaced.

I removed the old broken part and replaced with the new part. Simple as pie, my husband was so happy and impressed I had it done by the time he got home from work!!!!

I removed the two screws on each rail and replaced the broke rails with the new ones. I can't beleve I put it off for a year. It took less then 15 min. encluding the time it took to order the parts.

I removed the drawer and broken piece, then I screwed in the two screws to put the new piece in place. I then had trouble putting the shelf back in place due to the piece being a little bent. I loosened the front screw and was able to manuver the shelf in place with a little force. The new bracket works great.

The drawer slide broke and I just removed the 2 screws that were still in the side of the refrigerator. I then screwed the new drawer slide in the same holes and it was done!! Simple, simple....even for me, the housewife.... ; )

This was so easy! I got the part number off of the broken part, ordered online, and it was delivered the next day!!! So fast! Then I just unscrewed the broken part and reused the existing screws to install the new one. It took about 5 min.

I removed the screws and replaced the rails one at a time.

Turned water supply off; pressed dispenser sw to release presure ; cut tubing holding reservoir ; nuit driver to release screw holding reservoir and pulled out ; took outside and used hose nozzle to try to clear; did not clear at first then took weedeater string and disloged something and water flowed freely; turned out had to change waer solenoid valve (both) as the one for the water dispener was also plugged which did not show up before.
P.S. Had back flow water thru system before and changes of parts. Water flowed freely.

Took the drawer out, unscrewed 2 screws, replaced the part, put the drawer back in.

I removed the two screws from the old broken rail using a regular star screw driver and replaced the new rail you sent us. Took only 2 mints to do all.

Replaced dispenser door flapper by following the do it yourself video in this site. It was really easy. Just be careful when removing the dispenser black bezel. I broke one of the little tabs when taking it off.

A very simple repair that took less than 10 minutes. About 5 of that was getting a screw driver and putting it back in the tool box. Simply remove the drawer, unscrew the two screws. Install new rail using the same two screws.

What I liked the best about PartsSelect.com was, I ordered the wrong part mistake. When I called to inquire about the refund/return of the un-used part, they were very polite and curtious. She said the return info would be in my e-mail in a minute. She even asked if I wanted her to order the correct part right then. I didnt have the model number with me at the time or I would have. Remove two screws holding slide raid in place.
Replace slide rail with new one.
Reinstall two screws.
