Ice maker leaked water from the cube dispensing tray--1 icicle in the rear of tray
We thought that the problem was with the inlet valve, perhaps dispensing too much water and causing the overflow that caused the leak. Installation of the valve was easy, but it didn't fix the leak. After some more tinkering, we discovered that the problem was that the ice maker itself had gotten out of kilter, that the rear part was tilted down too far and was causing the overflow that created the icicle. The rear part of the unit needed to be raised by adjusting the rear screw that attaches the ice maker to the refrigerator. Easy to fix that, and so far, no more leak. It didn't hurt, though, to get a new valve and be forced to clean out the back of the fridge, as well as replace the copper water inlet tube with a plastic one.

The pnatry end cap broke within the first year of owning the refrigerator...because of that the lower veggie bin door has not connected to the side for the past 2-3 years! A visiting friend said the same thing had happened to their refrig and that she ordered a part on line and repaired it herself.
The repair was very straight-forward with using a socket set to remove the side panel and replace it. This also gave be a chance to give the refrig a good cleaning:) I was a bit worried about "popping" the cover in place, but it went in smoothly. I have decided that one of the causes of the breakage was lifting the cover manually and not allowing it to open automatically as the veggie drawer was opened. Hopefully, this will prevent future issues. I'm SO glad I found your site and will definitely use it again and refer friends!

Broke parts due to grandchildren not being careful with middle drawer
to repair the center rail, all I did was remove the food and the top glass and insert the rail!!! to repair the end cap all I did was remove the big drawer and remove the broken end cap and replace with the new one. My only thought is this is the third end cap I have had to replace not very sturdy construction where the lid hangs

Original ice maker failed to make ice
Replaced the ice maker. I have a 3 door refrig. It has a bottom drawer freezer. Remove the freezer door to make this much simpler. On my unit, the ice maker is installed with three screws, rather than one and two clips. Check before you try to pull it out. You should unplug the old ice maker from the refrig, leaving the wires on the old ice maker. It's much easier to remove the old wiring harness from the old ice maker once you've removed the front plastic cover on the unit. Both plugs on the harness have clips on them to prevent accidental disconnections. Be sure to find and press the clip releases before you pull on the wires. Nut driver makes this job easier than screw driver. You only need one size for all screws. I used the old ice maker bottom mounting clip rather than trying to bend the new one to shape. Much easier. My old ice maker had an extra wiring clip, which I moved to the new unit before the install. There is one wiring clip to hold the temperature probe, and another just to keep the wires neat. Letting the old ice maker front plastic cover warm up a bit before you try to pry it off for reuse is a good idea. Less chance of cracking. Two hours after the install, I had new ice in the ice bin.

Left door not closing.
Remove one screw from vertical mullion rail, disconnect wire harness. Reverse to install. Pivot block remove two screws and replace. It took longer to retrieve my tools from the garage than to do the job. Tried to purchase these parts locally but it would take 7-10 days to receive. Plus shipping and price was $45.00 more by the time I received these parts. Total cost was $95.57 delivered to my door. Parts were at the door within 24 hrs. I saved on $100.00 - 150.00 sevice call not to mention the $45.00. Plus the time of waiting on parts. I am 56 and retired. I should get into the repair business, what a rip off. The door works better than when the unit was new. Thanks Parts Select
