screeching noises
I followed the steps in the partselect videos and it was pretty easy. A small adjustable wrench was a lot easier to use than the needle nose pliers recommended in the video. The metal bearing inside the wheel on the idler lever turned out to be the main cause of the problem. It had worn a lot and more on one side than the other so the wheel was wobbling back and forth. However, the belt was clearly deteriorating as well, so I'm glad I replaced it. The glides were thin but serviceable, but also very easy to replace. I also replaced the two wheels in the back of the machine that support the drum. Probably did not need to do that.

Constant Screeching
I search on the Internet to troubleshoot. I began to disassemble the unit with information I gathered from other websites. I checked the idler lever and knew indeed that was the screeching culprit. Once, I figured out the parts I would need to do a thorough job (idler lever, 2drum support rollers, multi-rib belt), I searched for parts and came upon partselect.com. I got more thorough review via the partselect videos on how to replace everything and put it back together. If I knew about this site and the detailed videos it provides for each part I ordered, I would have saved myself at least 1.5 hours from the reasearch and disassembling time. I followed the videos and only asked for backup help when I was putting the new belt around the idler lever. Hearing the dryer run again without the screeching was such a relief!

Loud squeaky sound, screeching, rumbling
Followed the instructive videos on this site. Purchased more repair items than I thought I might need since I wasn't sure what I'd find. Turned out the drum support rollers were fine so I didn't remove them. Problem was a failed bearing on the idler pulley lever. Replaced that and the belt (for good measure). Returned what parts I didn't use. Thanks PartSelect!!

idler lever wheel broke and belt worn(little)
I did repair as video had shown. it was a challenge I prefer not to persue, with having no professional mechanical background. The repair was a sucess and with only a 60.00 charge for parts and 1 day shipping I would do it again.I have the origonal belt for backup if new one breaks in future.Duane

Drum glides had worn through
I took the front panels off of the dryer, removed the damaged glides and replaced them with the new glides (including the bracket on one side which had been ground thin by the dryer drum wearing on it). I also replaced the cylinder felt seal which had been damaged by the improper rotation of the dryer drum. I had to use some clamps to hold the felt seal in place at two different points so that I could stretch it around it's track. With another person present the clamps wouldn't have been necessary. Everything was very easy to access and replace!

Dryer would heat up, then cool down
The repair was quite easy. After watching the easy to follow video, I hit the floor running. The only non-standard tool I used was a butter knife to unhook the clips holding down the top. other than that, I just followed the video. As a safety note, anyone installing a gas valve and pipe kit, please remember to spray a little soap water to insure you have a tight gas connection. Anyway, I was drying clothes 40 minutes after starting the project. I estimate I saved $275 with repairing vs buying a new unit. Also, while apart, I put my shop vac to good use and gave the machine a good cleaning. Kurt.
