The dishwasher stopped receiving water
I went online and determined what the possible dishwasher parts would cause no water entering. The most recommended part was a valve. I ordered it and afterword obtained a ohmmeter and determined the part in my washer was not faulty. It tested the same as the new part I sent for. The real problem was the connecting metal flex hose that I had installed when I put it in. It had a valve built in that prevents water to flood the kitchen if the hose becomes broke. Even though I tested it out and found water flowing through it, the valve when under pressure had gotten plugged up with dirt particles that caused it to malfunction. I changed the hose and Wa La everything worked fine. I in fact did not have to change the so-called faulty valve. I suggest a detailed evaluation of the problem before purchasing parts. With electrical components it is practically impossible to know if they are faulty without an ohmmeter. Some valves become stuck and if unplugged then plugged back in they will reset themselves. I suggest that if one does not know what they are doing, refrain from messing with electrical parts. Don J.

My dishwasher handle would not release
Once I realized I needed a new handle for my dishwasher, I went online and shopped for the best price... after seeing several sites with higher prices and less information, I landed on PartSelect.com which had a great price and photos of the product so I could visually compare it to the broken part, since it didn't have a part number. I ordered it, and three days later it's on my doorstep! One Torx driver and 10 minutes of my time, I am back in business! Quick, easy, inexpensive. Thank you.

Door locked and had to be pried open
There are a total of 9 screws on the inside of the door when opened, but you need a star screw driver socket, like one for computers (the large drivers works). Put the driver into a drill for much quicker dis-assembly/assembly. 1) Remove the 9 door screws and make sure NOT to pop any connected wires. 2) Remove the connection wires to the door handle carefully (use a screwdriver to work them back and forth until they can be removed (remember which connects to which side). 3) Remove the door handle (already unscrewed). 4) Place the replacement door hand in the same place, aligning the screw holes. 5) Reattach the two connected door wires. 6) Replace door. 7) Screw in 6 screws. 8) Enjoy your working dishwasher again!

Handle on Dishwasher Broke
This was probably one of the easiest repairs I have done. First I shut the power off to the dishwasher from the electrical panel. Then I opened the dishwasher door and unscrewed the screws with a allyn wrench. Once the screws were out I disconnected the 2 electrical wires going to the handle by pulling them off of the handle. Put the new handle in and reconnected the electrical wires to the new handle, put the screws back on the door and closed it. Turned the power back on at the electrical panel and tested it out.

The handle broke
I took the inside cover off the door. After I determined that the latch was broken inside, I located the part through PartSelect. I ordered the part Tuesday afternoon with regular FedEx ground shipping. It was supposed to ship Wednesday and arrive in 3-5 days. It arrived Thursday! The thing I forgot to do when uninstalling the broken part was to unplug the dishwasher...minor shock. After unplugging it, I used a screwdriver to remove the broken assembly, plugged in the new one, put the inside cover back on and plugged in the dishwasher. It works perfectly! Thanks, PartSelect!

Dishes and glasses were left with little specks of food on them.
We watched the very excellent video on this web site for replacing the Accumulator Filter and followed the instructions it provided. It's possible that we could have just cleaned our existing accumulator filter once we understood what it was and how to get to it, but the results of replacing it have been dramatic. It's like a new dishwasher.

Door latch broke. Dishwasher would not open.
We noticed that the dishwasher latch was getting harder and harder to open until finally one day it totally broke and I wound up with a full load of clean dishes stuck inside the dishwasher. Luckily my husband was able to yank the door open to get to the dishes out and perform the repair. With the dishwasher open, we unscrewed all the screws that hold the plastic panel on the inside of the door (they also hold the door latch in place). We unplugged the old latch from the wire clips, plugged the new latch in and screwed everything back together. Super simple and now it's as good as new!
