Top rack wasn't getting clean
This couldn't have been easier. After unsnapping the docking station from the dishwasher, I aligned the two flapper valves that come with the unit and pressed them into place. I then pushed the new unit into place by pushing first on the left side and then the right until it clicked into place.
I looked at the old one and found that one flapper was gone and the gaskets were deteriorated. What made the whole process easier was buying from PartSelect. I have bought from them before and will again.

Door handle was jammed up and closed very rough.
The part was great! It was like a cartridge that plugs into the appropriate slots and done! So glad I didn't call a repair man to do this. Anyone that is considering fixing their dishwasher should check out doing it themselves. Thanks

Locking mechanism broke off
First off, turn off the breaker to the unit. Then remove all the torx screws holding the inside of the door to the door assembly. Unplug both wiring harnesses from the latch assembly. Remove the latch assembly, and put the new one in place. Plug the two wiring harnesses back into the new latch. Replace the panel and rescrew all the screws back in. Test the unit, and when it works do a happy litlle dance.

Broken door latch
I was planning to have an appliance repair guy do it. But he didn't show up. So I went down to Home Depot to pick up a Hex screw driver bit. Came back, switch off power at the circuit breaker for the dishwasher, opened up the dishwasher, unscrewed the bolts on the door, removed the connectors from the latch assembly, connected the new one to it, put it in place and bolted down the door cover. The most difficult part was disengaging the connectors. The whole thing including the trip down to Home Depot was less than an hour.

Broken handle
First, turn off power to the dishwasher since you will be exposing and possibly coming in contact with electronics. I removed the screws that hold the inner door panel to the outer door panel. Then, I removed the latch assemble by unplugging the wires at the harness on either side of the latch assembly. I plugged the wires into the new assembly, seated it in the proper place on the door, and reattached the inner and outer door panels. The new part fit perfectly and feels like it is of higher quality than the original part it replaced.

Food debris on dishes; seeds stuck in spray arms
Remove mid and bottom rack. The nut on the bottom spray arm can be removed by hand; all screws are T-20; just hold on to the impeller to turn its screw. I keep a T-20 under the sink, which tells you something about how reliable we've found this model! Remove screws as you go down, replace parts as you go back up; assembly is reverse of removal, yadda, yadda. Don't miss opportunities to notice how Maytag keeps making small improvements to many of the parts, wonder whether in a few more years of purchasing replacement parts for this thing it will finally stop breaking. My wife informs me that plastic mesh filters like Maytag uses are something she buys for her lab as disposable single use items. We actually had a Bosch on order (metal filters) but I decided to give this unit one more infusion of parts. It's working better now, but I don't know how long it will last before something else gives out.

Dishwasher wouldn't open. The latch was broken.
I called the 800 number instead of ordering online.
The young woman I spoke with was very helpful.
Like others, I was confused about which part to
order. I live in Mexico. There's a factory trained technician in town, but no parts. So I ordered the
part, had it shipped to my daughter in CA, and
when I visited I picked up the part and brought it
back. The technician charged 150 pesos. (That's
about $11 usd.) I watched him and realized I could have done it myself. But why bother?

Wash arm holes had worn, preventing proper rotation due to limited force of water jets
Took off the small plastic nut -- you can do it with your fingers. If it's too tight, use a pair of pliers.Lift off the old arm, put on the new arm. Very simple. Takes 2 minutes.

Door would not lock
I called for a Lowes where I purchased the dishwasher was told it was out of warranty, they set up for a repairman to come out and fix it. He came out and told me it would be $190.00 for parts and labor but that didn't include the service call of $60.00 dollars. Total bill would be $250.00, plus it would be another 2 weeks before he would be able to get back because he had to order the part but and get this I would get the part delivered to the house before the two weeks, and that he wouldn't guarantee the part for more then 90 days.
I told him no way, so I researched the internet and found this site part cost $25.00 dollars my time about 30 min. SAVINGS of $225.00.
The part was pretty easy to install had to take out a few screws around the edge. Only trouble I had was putting in the handle but I figure that out and put everything back together again.
I would purchase parts from this company again had it within 2 days, at a very reasonable cost.

Broken handle on dishwasher
Removed all the screws around the outer portion of dishwasher door. This would be the part of the door facing the dishwasher when the door is closed. When you remove the screws, this will loosen the handle, enabling the handle to be removed and easily replaced.

Easy as pie!
