Broken Door Latch Handle
I just shut off power at the breaker box, then removed the 11 torx screws around the inside door liner. The hardest part was keeping the door open; the door springs get pretty aggressive after you remove the liner. The handle and latch assembly is basically held in place by two of the screws. I disconnected the two wire connectors, then reconnected the new assembly and set it in place. Put in about half the screws, turned on power and tested the operation. After confirming that the latch released and the machine functioned, I put in the rest of the screws and tightened them gently. Done. Working great now, but I suspect that plastic handle will break again before the machine does.

Isolated the dishwasher at the fuse panel. Unscrewed 9 screws (inside of the front drop-down door) which automatically released the broken latch. Unplugged the two electric male connections connecting the door latch assembly. Connected new handle and door latch assembly. Re-inserted the 9 screws on inner side of front drop-down door.

Broken Latch
Repair was a piece of cake, start to finish was less then 15 minutes. It took longer to find the correct circut breaker to turn off the power to the dishwasher as the previous owner of the home didn't mark the panel box very well. Very pleased with dealing with your company, your website was easy to use, ordering was a breeze, part was delivered quicker then expected, the repair was very easy to complete.

Door Latch broken
We turned off the electricity to the dishwasher, and used a star-shaped torx screwdriver to remove the screws inside the door. After removing the door panel, we unplugged the two simple electrical plugs from the handle, and the handle assembly came off in one piece. We put the new handle assembly in its place, plugged the two electrical plugs into it (be careful to plug them back exactly the way the old ones were placed), and screwed the door panel back on. Turned the electricity back on, and it worked perfectly! Saved us $200.00, which is the price we were quoted for a repair!

Door Latch Handle was broken
The door latch handle on my Maytag MDB6700 AWW dish washer appeared to be loose and possibly broken. I removed the inner door cover to check it out and found that two plastic tabs on the latch had broken off. That was the problem. I got on line, found the part and ordered it on Sep. 23. I was a little apprehensive that it would be the right part. I was shocked when it arrived on Sep. 25 after only two days. I never expected it so to arrive so quickly. The new part had steel where the plastic tabs that broke were, so I don't ever expect to have this problem again. I put in the replacement part and replaced the door panel and it is working perfectly. I am completely satisfied.

The release handle no longer worked.
After throwing the circuit breaker, I removed the 8 torx screws holding the interior door to the exterior door, which also released the door latch mechanism. I then used pliers to remove two wiring connectors from the latch. Then, simply, attached the wiring connectors to the lugs on the new latch assembly, positioned the latch assembly, then put the torx screws back. Threw the breaker back on, and it was done.

Broken latch
Unplug the machine from the AC power! Remove the screws around the inside perimeter of the door. On my dishwasher these reqire a torx bit. Using pliers carefully pull the wires off their terminals on the latch assembly. Note which ones go to the left and right of the latch assembly. Mine had a black mark that was to face outward on each wire connector. Position the latch assembly, and lay the panel back in position noting the seal at the bottom. Replace the screws (don't overtighten)and you're done!

Pretty Straightforward But...
Unscrew the panel, unplug the old handle, screw eveything back, right? Yes, but getting the old connectors unplugged can be a bit of a challenge. I ended up (carefully) using a pair of pliers to remove the plugs. Be careful though, the connectors can be bent if you get too aggressive.

Door latch was broken. Anticipated being unable to open dishwasher door in very near future.
Turned off power. Removed interior door panel of dishwasher by unscrewing screws (required allen wrench/hex key.) Instructions with replacement part indicated that I should use a needle-nosed plier to unplug the old latch and replug new one. Was unable to "unplug" the tines from the old latch. So, I removed the entire plug/socket unit on each side of the old latch, and placed them on new latch (saved new parts for future use if I can ever figure out how to remove prongs from old part.) Situated handle/latch in place and re-installed interior door.
