Door handle snapped when pushed to open; seal dirty
I am not the one who typically fixes our appliances, but I do frequently research for the part. This site is by far the easiest to navigate; the part I needed was clear; they recognized my model immediately; part arrived the next day without expedited shipping costs. Will use this site for all of my appliance part needs.

Gasket pulled right out and new one placed in; handle latch-unscrewed door inner panel, pulled out old part and reconnected new part.

Door would not latch, would not wash.
Never having been there before, I disassembled the door, disconnected all wires, removed all the broken pieces, (and as an Engineer) tried to find out what went wrong. I found your other stories on repair, realizing I did not have to disconnect all the wires. I also found that you provied a handle/door latch complete assy that made the repair a breeze.
My wife is happy that her favorite kitchen aid (not me) is now in good working order and she shoohed me out. Keep up the good work.

The door latch broke
It was very simple and easy. I opened the panel inside the door; total of 8-10 screews. The latch has two electrical connections and switches. The replacement part I got came with an extra set of switches. Replacing the switches needed an electrical tool which I don't have so I decided to keep the old ones. It is quite easy to take out the switches and replace the latch. I should have taken out the power; but I did not. I was just careful handling the wires et al; no big deal either. My dishwasher is working fine now. I was able to fix it within $40 and 1 hour of effort. Any technician would have cost me atleast couple of hundred bucks + parts etc.

Leaking around bottom of door
Used utube to replace the inner seal. Did not stop the leak completely, had to replace the entire door seal and level the machine.I did the inner seal myself, but had a repairman under our homeowner warranty do the rest.

Door Latch Broken - hard to open the door
The door latch would not work at all, just moved but did not engage. I was not sure if I needed to get the assembly with the Door Handle or not, but once I took it apart I saw the plastic on the handle was broken and also needed to be replaced. Took out the screws around the outside of the door and then pried back the inner door to allow the door latch assembly to come out. A little tough to get the wire off the switch on the old part, had to break them off and then prior the contacts out the the switch with some pliers. The new switch went in without a hitch, the existing outer door screws also are used to hold the latch in place. Overall, took about 15 minutes, and i probably did not to take off half of the screws on the inner door to get to the latch assembly. Removing and replacing all those screws took the longest amount of time.

I attached the wires to the new latch and screwed the door panel back together. It only took about 5 minutes. The dishwasher is working great! I saved about $100 doing the repair myself.
