ACS3350AS Amana Range - Instructions

Remove oven door, 2 screws, remove bottom drawer no screws,Remove 2 covers under stove 5 screws, this allows access to ignitor plug. [be sure to turn off power] unplug old ignitor remove 3 screws holdin ignitor cage gentle pull wire through hole in back of oven. Remove old ignitor from cage. carefully, put new ignitor in cage, put new wire through hole in back of oven secure with 3 screws then plug in new ignitor. Turn on power test ignitor. oven worked great. replace bottom plates drawer and door .Pat self on the back for saving lots of Dollars Roger

Remove two phillips screws, lift the burner head up and remove the wire from the electrode. DO NOT DROP THE WIRE!!! It will fall into the stove top, adding much more time and frustration to this very simple repair. Reverse these steps to complete the repair.

after research and diagnosis I determined the igniter to be defective. Even though it glowed red the resistance needed for the "brain" in the oven was too low. This did not let the gas valve open. I removed the floor plate in the oven and removed the screws fastening the igniter. The wire harness plug was in the back of this oven so I fished it out of a hole and unplugged it. I tied a string to the plug(igniter end) and pulled out the unit. fastened the string to the new igniter plug and pulled it out of the back and plugged it in. Reversed the disassembly and ... DONE

Used grinder to cut the screws. All 4 screws had to be cut to remove from burner assembly. Once this was acomplised it went fast with no problems

Set masonite under feet, removed drawer, and pulled unit out from wall. Disconnected electric and turned off gas supply at wall. Reached in where drawer was and disconnected 2-wire igniter connector. In oven, removed cover in bottom by sliding it off, then undid center bolt on V shaped plate covering igniter and burner. Undid 3 screws holding igniter bracket and pulled through the disconnected wire harness. Removed igniter from bracket carefully as it was held in quite tightly. Carefully slid new igniter in bracket, fed wire in back and replaced 3 screws holding in igniter. Reconnected wire under unit, replaced V plate. Turned on power and gas, tested and gas lit right away. Reassembled the rest and pushed it back against wall.

Unplug power and turn off gas valve. Lower drawer removed out of way. Tilt back stove. Layed piece of wood under front with wife makeing sure not to fall forward. Remove back plate(2 screws)you will see the plug in. Unplug. Go inside of oven remove (1screw)bottom plate. See(3screws)remove igniter assy. Pull old out,replace new one (may have to pry bracket apart just a bit to slide in).

First, my wife and I pulled out the oven from wall to disconnect electric plug and, also with a wrench; I shut off the gas connection on the wall. I then removed front door of the oven by pulling up on door to have easy access to lower part of oven, and then removed pan to get to Igniter. Removed the three screws on cage that supported the Igniter and, I also had to remove several screws to the manifold and bottom pan that supports the manifold so that I could disconnect Igniter. I then was able to pull out old Igniter and, reconnect the new one. After that, I reinstalled everything in reverse. Before pushing oven back into wall; we made sure the new igniter worked. It worked just great. My wife and I were so happy and proud that we done it our self, and not have to call someone to do it for us. It took me and, my wife about an hour and a half to complete the job. I believe the reason it took us as long as it did was because we really didn't know what to expect. I was able to order the part I needed. The faulty pad had a broken stem.Several pads came in a bag so if I have the problem again I will have the parts on hand. I bought some RTV glue suitable for items at high temperatures; used a probe to make sure the hole in the grate was clear and clean and glued the new pad in place.

To access the igniter (bake, not broil) I removed the oven racks and removed the pan at the bottom of the oven enclosure (which just lifted out, not secured by any fasteners). Using a Phillips head screw driver, I removed the three small screws that secured the igniter and its shield to the burner. I then pulled out the drawer at the bottom of the oven, looked to the back of the space under the oven, located the igniter connecting plug and disconnected the igniter lead. I was then able to pull the igniter lead wires and plug through the hole at the rear of the oven and remove the igniter from the oven. This can all be done without moving the oven, I just laid on the floor and reached under the oven to disconnect the igniter lead connection. Once the igniter was out of the oven, I carefully removed the igniter from it shield by gently pulling the shield off, there were no fasteners to remove. I installed the new igniter into the existing shield, being careful not to touch or damage the delicate heating element on the igniter. Re-installation of the igniter was just the reverse of the removal process. The whole thing took about 15 minutes for this model of oven, even though I had never replaced an igniter before.

I took a jewelers screwdriver and completely cleaned out what was left of the old pads. Then applied a small amount of heat resistant rtv sealant to each hole, slid in the new pads and wiped off the excess. I let everything set overnight. The next day everything was solid. Job was complete. Note I've done this before and did not get the results I did this time. I believe it was the instruction that came with the pads and the tip-off to use the rtv. Roommate did the repair..so I don't know. I did the research online, the igniter solved the problem. Saved us buying a new oven!

Insert one end of the railing into the slot in the back of the stove. Align the front end of the railing with the hole at the front of the stove. Align the roller with the hole. Secure the front end of the railing, roller ,and hole with the shoulder bolt using a 10mm wrench. Tighten just enough but don't over tighten.

1. Remove the oven bottom inside the oven. 2. Remove the pan underneath the oven bottom by undoing one hex nut. 3. Once this is done the oven igniter is visible. It is located in a protective housing. 4. Remove the three sheet metal screws that hold the igniter housing in place. 5. To unplug the igniter remove the storage door. Underneath the oven there is a access panel. Remove it by taking out the two sheet metal screws. Once this is removed the igniter can be unplugged. 6. Pull the old igniter out of the housing and carefully install the new one in it. Careful the ceramic igniter is fragile. 7. Plug the new igniter in and screw the housing back in place. Changing the igniter was easy once we found the panel after removing the storage drawer that made it possible to unplug the old igniter and plug in the new one.

turn the power off first, remove knobs, removed burners,disconnected wire from igniter,raise the top of the stove,re rmoved wire from the door lock removed two screws remove the door lock itself, then put all back on in same order as I remove. Main thing to remember is to writeyour colors of the wire down so you know where to replace them.

Removed the old sensor which is held into the upper right of the back of the oven by removing the two screws and pulling the sensor out. Then disconnected the sensor from its connector. Replace the old with the new by simply clicking it into the connector. Then pushed the wire back into the oven wall and screwed the two screws back in. The whole job took about one minute to do after evaluating the process. While it was not necessary to remove the door, I did (which was very easy) and ended up cleaning the glass inside and out. All in all, a complete success. Oven working as new.
