No ice. Web site explained what to check for ..
Just followed directions.Which were clear as could be. I think it took longer to clear the freezer, than to replace the ice maker. Thanks so much.

Had to replace right end cap
Had to remove bottom drawers and glass shelf, unscrew 3 screws, the right side end cap controls the air control so there is another piece that is attached to the end cap that has to be removed from the old and put on the new cap. And do replace this part since it controls the temperature of the refriferator if not the alarm goes off.

The water filter indicator kept blinking red.
I opened the cover to the filter and screwed the filter counter clock wise until it came loose then removed the old filter and put the new one in. It was real easy.

Replaced ice maker
Unplugged refrigerator and truned off water supply. I then removed old ice maker by first removing screw holding mounting bracket with 1/4 inch nut driver. Then I carefully pulled up and out on the ice maker to remove it from mounting brackets on the side of unit. Once free, I was able to access the wiring harness in the back and remove it from the unit by compressing the clips and gently pulling with an even pressure. Now that the old ice maker was detached I took it to my counter and removed the on/off switch rocker bar and wiring harness. I attached these two pieces to the new ice maker. I then plugged the wiring harness back into unit and lined up the mounting brackets on the side wall and did a reverse tilt to downward pressure onto brackets until they clicked in securely. The last step was to screw in the mounting bracket with nut driver. Turned on water line and plugged machine back in. It took about an hour and a half before it produced its first harvest of ice, but has been working like a charm since.

Ice leaking water.
Watch the video on the sight and that was almost all I really needed. The only thing I would add is that it took me some time to get the drawer freezer door off. Lift the front straight up. Don't pull the door slides out.

Replace Pantry End Cap - Right Side
(Always pay attention to where parts are located and how you remove them.) 1) Remove vegetable and fruit drawers above the pantry. 2) Lift out the glass pantry top. 3) Remove the rails which support the glass pantry top and remove the pantry drawer. 4) Operate the temperature control lever on the end cap while observing the movement of the sliding vent covers just above the back of the pantry drawer. 5) Remove the 3 screws which secure the end cap. 6) Carefully pull the end cap away from the side of the cabinet, taking care not to break any of the attached pieces. 7) Remove the components that control the temperature of the pantry. Some must be rotated to bring the component through a slot (or similar arrangement) - the control arm snaps into a hole in the center back of the cabinet... so you may need to use a flat screwdriver to assist in freeing it. 7) Install the components just removed onto the new end cap. 8) Re-attach the control bar in the back of the cabinet. (Its other end is now attached to the new end cap.) 9) Position the end cap and secure it to the cabinet with the 3 screws. Before snugging them up, test them to insure that the temperature control is sliding correctly. 10) If all is well, snug up the screws. 11) Re-install the glass support rails, glass, pantry drawer and the veg and fruit drawers. 12) Place the left end of the front cover of the pantry drawer on the hinge pin on the left side. Carefully bow the cover to allow the right side to be slid over its hing pin on the right end cap. Job done. In the future, take care to insure that the pantry draw is pushed in and the cover is closed BEFORE you close either of the two doors on the refrigerator!

Right hinge broke when wife dropped a candy apple on the deli drawer lid.
Couldn't have been easier. Remove the glass plate. The deli drawer lifts out of the slides. Two screws later, the entire assembly was out. Be careful with the adjustable vent that is attached to the right end cap. Gently pull out the end cap, the vent just has a tab on the very end that inserts into the rear wall of the fridge. After that, reverse for installation. JMC

Broken drawer
I was opening the bottom pull-out as my girlfriend had open the veggie drawer above it, without realizing that the lid would swing up. In other words, on this French door fridge, you can only open one drawer at a time, all the while dumping all the cold air out at once. Im not sure why this model is popular! But its a two door top with bottom freezer, new and expensive, and on Martha's Vineyard-a shipping nightmare (planes, trucks, ferries, more trucks). I was visiting and needed to make amends for busting things up, and quick, before leaving to go home. My boyfriend found PartSelect online, I made an order at 247pm on Thursday (cut off for "next-day" is 3p, so you didn't guarantee it would come before Monday), but the warehouse shipped it anyway by 630p Friday evening, on island! The parts were cheap at about $25 each, the instructions were do-able, the blow out diagram online made it easy to know what I needed, and the whole thing was good-as-new in 48 hours. What a godsend! Thanks PartSelect, for saving me! For $75! Woohoo- (I'll take care of the boyfriend...)

Ice Maker worked sporadically and then started dropping water into bin, make a large chunk.
Was very happy with the experience of using your company. The man on the phone was helpful. The icemaker shipping was only about $7 and got here in a couple of days. I liked the video, and then including a link to the video with the on-line confirmation. Was not quite sure it was the icemaker or the metering valve on the back, as the latter would make a little grinding noise, but the symptoms matched the dumping of water into the bin. After replacing, everything is working well. The only difficulty was the wire harness plugs into the other side of the back of the box than in the video and I found it a little difficult to route the wires correctly as they seemed too short. But a little trial and error solved that. My model is freezer on the bottom and I didn't notice that the little detachable funnel wasn't quite seated and it was necessary to reinstall, making sure the funnel stayed in place correctly. That was my own error. My overall experience was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend PartSelect to anyone with an icemaker problem. I'm only sorry I lived with a recalcitrant ice maker for a couple of years before finally acting on it. I am glad I found your website! Lee in Texas

Freezer seal was broken
Thanks to some reviews we found online about replacing gaskets, ours went very smoothly. One person said to soak the gasket in hot water, which we did til it was very soft. Installed like a breeze. Then, the same person said to tape the door closed after installation, we did that too. The gasket looks like it was professionally installed and we have never done it before. Thanks!
