the tube when spinning the tub would shake so bad the washer would walk away from the wall but it will not happen anymore since I put the new spring on it runs great and this is not my first rodeo. Removed the outer part to timer controls then removed two screws then shell in front came off the body

First time .Replace the clutch .miss placed one of the retainer clip .found it after the replacement came .It was in the fold at the base of the machine.

Well, after resolving Part Select (PS) shipping issues (PS sent me two refrigerator glass shelves instead of a Tub Spring); And as it turns out they sent me the wrong part for the suspension pads, which I have returned for credit. It takes 3-4 weeks to obtain your credit BTW.

Well after removing the cabinet, agitator, wash basket, plastic tub, all 5 springs, & pump suction line, I was able to access the Tub wear pads and suspension pads. As it turns out the suspension pads looked good.
Thank God, as PS had sent wrong parts. I replaced the wear pads, the 5 springs, and reversed the disassembly process. Took about 6 hours.
But washer works fine now, still vibrates, but does not walk across floor any more.

Replaced the holder. However it is still leaking a little. Any other suggestions?

It was a miracle. We were going to get rid of the washing machine because it made so much noise and rattled the whole house. It also 'walked' across the room with every load.
I simply replaced the wear pads (2 of them were already worn away), and now it is as quiet as when it was new. AMAZING!

Simply put the new one on. No tools required.

The tough part was replacing the front cabinet.
I did consult the video for help on replacing the clutch spring.

I admit to taking too much apart, most of the cabinet back can be left alone.
Some of the plastic wire keepers/routers suffered, as well as the console hinges.

The newly reassembled washer works without a hitch, and truely it took me about 4 hours over several days to dissamble and reassemble.
It is louder in the audible range than before, but very serviceale for another 20 years, saints willing.

Pull the washer out away from the wall and tip back.
I used a small metal ammo box to hold up the washer.
The bottom pump retainer is easy reach and remove with a flat screwdriver. I was able to pry off with my hand.
Replace retainer insert into slots on drive motor and twist.
I used a pair of Channellock pliers to lift retainer while pressing along the
side till it snaped into place.
Remove the support box and put washer back.
Then tip washer forward to reset self-leveling mechanism.

My factory drain hose had a hole in it, that I replaced with a hose from Lowe's. This was my first time doing this, took some time and difficult. I found out after replacing it, that it was not the right fit, as the drum would bounce around during every wash. After 3 months, due to the bouncing of the drum, that house had a hole and needed to be replaced. I chose parts select, and although the specs of the hose listed it as shorter in length than the one I bought from Lowe's, it fit perfectly and fixed my lose drum. I had watched the video on parts select numerous times (swapping out hose) so this was done in less than 10 minutes. I have become a pro at this and it is all thanks to parts select. Thank You!

Ordered drain hose extender. It uses a rubber flange with hose clip to attach to washer's plastic hose. When tightened, the hose clip crushes the plastic hose and crimps it, causing a leak. My solution was to find a copper pipe flange that was the same diameter as the interior of the plastic hose to act as a bushing for the plastic hose. The hose clip could then be tightened without deforming the hose. Worked great with no leaks.

Order new hose from Part select. It arrived a couple of days later. I took the old hose off with a pair of pliers, put the new one on ran it thru the hole in the back of the machine and I was done. Total of maybe 20 minutes.

Tried to follow videos. Couldn't figure how to raise top. Laid machine on front used pliers to unclip bracket and clips holding hose. Took 10 minutes to work it this way.

Removed housing, using pry bar lifted plate used screwdriver removed wear pads one at a time. inserted new ones and snapped into place. Did not have to remove tub. Be sure pry bar does not slip and you pinch your fingers. Machine works just fine know.

After reading everyone elses stories, I purchased all new springs(5), new spring brackets(one of mine was rusted really badly)and all new wear pads(two sets of 3pcs each). The rusted spring bracket was the most time consuming as the screw was rusted into the bracked so I had to drill it out. Other than that, the actual spring replacement was easy. Took maybe 10 minutes. The wear pads were another story. I'm a pretty good mechanic and I had a bit of a struggle getting the old pads out. I used a long, flat head screwdriver to pry them out. Once they were out the new ones weren't too tough to get back in. Took about 20 minutes all together. I stongly recommend watching the video on removing the washer cabinet first. It will save you some time. Acutally, watch the videos on all of the parts to simplify the process. Oh and by the way, all of my washer problems are gone. Well worth my time and $70 in parts. The retainer was broken and likely because the washer was worn down and allowed the whole thing to move more and more over time. Got the exact parts I needed and the repair could not have been easier.
