3ED22DQXAW00 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

Fridge would stop cooling, get way over temperature. I noticed it would start up again if I tapped near the thermostat. It would run for a while then stop again. Replaced the thermostat exactly as shown in video. Fridge works fine now.

I found this part on PartSelect. I was so excited it also showed a video on how to fix the door. My neighbor said he would help me and I ordered the pkg. It took 3 days to get here since I ordered Friday night and the part arrived Tuesday , this was the Easter Sunday week end also. Well the video said it was easy to do and I think it said it would take 15 min. My neighbor had it fixed in 10 min. I could not be happier. Thanks Part Select and my neighbor Mike.

We removed the broken part and substituted the new one tout-de-suite. No problems encountered.

The how to video told me what to check to determine what part was probably broken. Then another video showed me how to take it apart. It gave me the name, number, and a photo of the part. I ordered it from Part Select without even checking with another retailer since they gave me the information to do it myself, saving me lots of $ for repair labor costs! Unloaded the refrigerator shelf, popped in the new frame and was ready to go. Probably didn't take 2 minutes. Super simple.

Watched your installation how to video. Applied same procedure. Went smoothly.

Followed the DYI Video provided by partselect. Best advice, take a digital pic prior to disasembly, which of course I didn't! My cordless screw driver w/o the tip, is the same size as the screws thus no need for a nut driver.

Moved the refrigerator out, unscrewed old fill tube, pulled it out, placed finger-screw on water line, screwed it on, put in new fill tube, re-screwed fill tube in place, put refrigerator back into place. Done!

I saw a video of it, and simply took apart the ice maker and put the new Auger Drum in, then reassembled the ice maker.

very easy, just snapped and end of story.

Sorry for delay in writing. Part I ordered arrived two days ago and it was exactly what I needed. Knowing that there will be problems even with the smallest job I procrastinated starting. When I did start this morning I foud I had to completely remove the ice maker and disassemble it in order to install the water fill cup bracket. The challenge was reassembling the unit. Not hard for an experienced repairman but a challenge for layman. Everything is thing is back to gether now and power on cooling down the refrigerator. Won't know how successful it was until turn on water and ice is formed. If it works this saved $75 just to get a Sears repairman to come out and tell me what would be needed to fix the refrigerator and $1,000 if I had to buy a new refrigerator. Extremely satisfied with service I received. Thank you.
