No longer spinning
Repair went really well thanks to the video PartSelect had posted with the drive motor coupling. It showed me how to take machine apart to replace the coupling. Loved the step-by-step instructions. Made it so easy for my son and me to do together and I am a female.

Machine would not spin when pumping out water
You have to determine if it is the COUPLING or the TRANSMISSION or the CLUTCH. I checked the coupling and that wasn't it. The machine did rotate back and forth in the wash cycle so I thought it would be either the clutch or the timer assembly. I ordered the clutch and used the video to guide me through the installation. One problem was the PUMP was stuck on the shaft so I removed the hosed and took out the rest as one unit. The clutch was full of crud and after replacing it and checking for leaks, the machine runs perfectly now! I would suggest you replace the hose washers when you reattach them to the machine as I rechecked after turning on the water and found a TINY drip that would have been a problem over time!

Washer would fill with water and then stop.
My brother-in-law did the repair. He unscrewed the back of the top part of the machine. He located the lid switch, which is on the right from the back of the machine (left if you look at it from the front). He then unscrewed the ground wire and unhooked the old lid switch. He put the new one in place, hooked it back up, screwed the ground wire. Reconnected everything and now it works.

Washer would not begin to agitate clothes after fill.
Lifted up the control panel, removed the broken lid switch and replaced it. Replaced missing Lid hinge mounting screws. It was great. Fixed the problem. Felt empowered to fix it ourselves for such a reasonable cost. Thanks

Washer would not spin or agitate
1) Unplugged power to the machine. 2)Disconnected the water inlet hoses and the drain hose. 3)Placed the washer on the front of the cabinet. 4) Moved the washer to an area large enough to allow it to be laid down and worked on. 5)Removed the sound deading panel from the bottom of the washer. 6)Disconnected the electrical plugs from the motor. 7)Disconnected the two hoses to the pump. 8)Removed the two strap retaining bolts from top of the motor. 9) Removed the two motor retaining straps. 10) Removed motor and pump assembly from the transmission. 11) Removed the broken drive coupler and replaced it with the new coupler. 12)Reassembed in reverse order. Wish I had seen the brake repair vidieo before this repair was done. It shows how to remove the trasmission and motor asembley as a unit.

Screeching noise, would not drain at all.
Got on the PartSelect website and diagnosed the problem, purchased the replacement part, received the part in 2 days....very quick. I simply watched the "how to" video for the part, which was very easy to understand, and followed the instructions and was able to take out the old part (found it to be broken), replace it with the new part and fixed the washer. It took about 40 minutes, and everything works great. Easy, cheaper and faster than calling a repairman.

plastic part of coupling was broken
The new coupling parts are better made than the original parts. It was difficult to disassemble motor unit to get at the the old coupling, but once that was accomplished, the new coupling installed pretty easily. The machine is working fine now.

spin cycle did not engage
researched potential causes, found clutch dust under the washer and determined that it wouldn't engage because clutch was too worn. ordered the assembly,It was very easy to install. I also noticed oil residue on the side of the washer so after more research I found out I needed to replace the transmission also. The seal on top of the unit was worn out. I ordered a new transmission and install it and now it works like new. It's very rewarding to fix your own washer. Now all my friends are fixing their own washer and dryers. Thank You!!!

washer work not operate
Unplug washer from the electrical receptacle. Remove one phillip screw on each side from the rear of the control panel and one hexnut with plastic strap from the rear of the control panel on each side. Pull control panel towards the front of the washer. Locate gray lid switch on the top left, rear side. Remove metal grounding screw with green wire from the metal top of the washer. Detach the gray lid switch from the electrical module and remove entire switch. At this time, open the washer machine lid carefully and gently install the new lid switch. Reattach the ground wire and metal screw to the chassis. Put control panel back in it's original location, carefully align each of the rear side phillip screws and tighten. Do the same with the two hex nuts and plastic strap. Close lid and remember to plug the washer back in to the electrical receptacle. Start the washer with your normal procedure! It should now start!!! Good luck!

Whirlpool washer pumps but drum would not spin
We have a 6 year old top loading Whirlpool washer. The drum would not spin at the end of its wash cycle when it is supposed to spin dry. I followed the video exactly and it worked great. I replaced the clutch and rubber coupling. It is not difficult if go slow and methodical and you follow the excellent video My wife washes heavy rugs often and it wore out the clutch. The washer works better than it has in a long time.

The unit would no longer spin in rinse mode etc.
Watched the video on your website and determined I could easily do the repair. Replaced the part for less than $20.00 including shipping and received it the next day. I ordered the part @ approximately 5 PM and the projected delivery was 1.8 days. To my delight the FedEx truck arrived by 1 PM the very next day and we were up and running within 24 hours of ordering the Direct Drive Motor Coupling. I will definitely use your services again. Special thanks to your video team. I was able to watch step by step how to disassemble and reassemble the washer etc.
