Freezer was cold refrigerator was too warm.
I knew that if my freezer temp seemed Ok and my refrigerator was too warm that I should be looking to see if my evaporative fan was working. It blows the cold air from the freezer through to the refrigerator. Turns out that the unit was working and I figured out by viewing other customer experiences there was a diffuser door that opens and closes with a thermostat that was not operating. Replaced it and everything is fine.

Ice Maker would not make ice
A repairman wanted $600.00 to fix our ice maker. I paid him $88.00 for his "service call" & asked him to leave. I ordered & replaced the ice maker machine & the ice maker still would not work, so I replaced the 2 optics boards next. Replacing the ice maker was most challenging because the plug is so hard to get at, but the 2 optics boards were pretty easy. Just watch the video on PartSelect.com. Work slowly & take your time when pulling out & replacing the optics boards. There were a total of 6 screws for the 2 optics boards. It took me approximately 10 minutes to replace both boards, & now my ice maker is working perfectly! I am thrilled!!

Ice Maker stopped working. Already replaced Photo Eye
Top left mounted Icemaker facing front. Disconnect power to fridge. Using 1/4" nut driver remove single silver nut under right rear side. It holds a plastic cover over the electrical connection, unhook the cover and remove it. Release clips under front lip under both sides and entire icemaker will slip and twist out. Remove electrical connection to ice tray. Place assembly on bench and remove 3- 1/4 hex screws from under side to release bottom tray. Snap cover off motor and remove. Carefully align pin and arm on control assembly to ice tray and-re assemble. May take 30 min to dispense. Discard till clear.
