Ice door broken letting warm air into freezer
After I ordered the parts, which was very easy to do using this website I read the other comments in reference to this repair. I am in agreement with anyone that said patience is important! The repair went about as expected, the only thing I had to do different was, after I assembled the door, it would not activate. I checked the microswitches for the ice dispenser and found that the arm on the glass bracket was not hitting the switches. I shaved off part of the horn on the back of the arm and that solved the problem!

non functioning light switch in fridge
This repair was super easy. there are only 5 screws to remove to get at the defective switch. 3 in the housing where the light bulbs are and 2 in the front trim piece where the cooling adjustment dials are. I never did unplug the fridge ,but probably should have although nothing bad happened. I removed all 5 screws using a 1/4" socket ( a nutdriver would work well also). there is also a small dia rod that comes down from the coolness adj. wheel that when you re-assemble goes though the middle of the wheel. The switch has only 2 wires that clip on with the push on flat type connectors. Very simple. I removed the wires and then the switch can be removed( it is only held in by 2 squeezable side clips). I put the new switch in and connected the wires , checked to see that the lights went on and off. which they did. then just put the screws back in.....done. also I would like to say that when I ordered my switch it came super fast. I ordered it online at 11:00am on a tuesday and it was on my doorstep in wisconsin by 10:00 am the next day...Thanks

My water dispenser quit on the door.
I knew my ice maker was still working and I could hear that the switch on my water was still making the usual noise when tripped, so I knew that it had to be the inlet valve. I googled some videos and luckily found PartSelect.com. I used there diagnostics, looking at the percentages of other parts used to fix like problems. The part install was very easy as all I had to do was turn off the water and unplug the frig, remove the part, cut the input line and both output lines. Then slide those into the new part, with quick connects you just slide them in, the old part had compression fittings. Reattach the new part turn on the water, plug it back up, watch for leaks, your done..pretty sweet.

Door no longer closing on its own and remaining slightly ajar.
This is a very easy fix. Begin by emptying the contents of the door. Then, just remove hinge cap and remove the three hinge screws. The door can then be lifted off the hinge pin and placed on its side. Once this is done, replace the two can pieces (one on the door and one on the frame). Then just lift the door back in place and secure the hinge. This job can be done by one person (maybe two if you need help place the door on a work surface) and will take just 15 minutes.

Ice maker stopped making ice.
The small arm in the tray for the ice maker stopped moving. I put hot water in there to see if anything was clogging up the line or the tray, but nothing was. I then pushed on the arm and it moved pretty easily. So I took off the front cover and the motor; I saw that the plastic piece connecting to the gear was broken. So I realigned and replaced the motor. Ice maker is working like a champ again.

Broken outlet nozzle
Replaced the output nozzle and hose that goes through the door and down under the frig.Wasnt sure if I could push new hose down through door so hooked the two hoses together so I could pull the new hose into place. To hook them together i took a short screw, cut off the head and screwed it into both hoses and put one wrap of tape around it. Pulled through the first time.

Foam had torn off the flap door and the black thingy had broken.
Pulled off front. Detached wires without getting electrocuted. Marked them first so I'd know where they go. Pushed up the thing with wires so I could see the flap door. It had a heat thing in the flap which my replacement part didn't have, so I had to pull it out of the broken flap and insert in the new flap. Snapped flap door in place. Attached black thing loop to white thing. DIdn't use the spring or the white thing. Reattached wires and put on front piece. Everything now works. No more frost in the freezer!!!

Cold water and ice maker not working.
I followed the instructions in the package, after having viewed the video (from PartSelect, but you have to go to youtube for it.) Replacing the valve got the cold water flowing but there still is no water going to the ice maker.

Cracked Vegetable Pan
Made the order which came in a timely fashion. But the new pan was cracked. I immediagely called. The agent was friendly, personable, and helpful. She ordered a new pan, but it didn't come as it was supposed too. Yesterday I went to the barn and , yep, it was there! Why fedx put it there I don't know. But it is in good shape. Only complaint it that I have to keep the other part for 30 days to wait for notification whether they want it back or not! Otherwise very glad to have this issue solved.
