Ice dispenser was broken
My handyman did the repair. It was pretty easy for him. It would have been a real puzzle if we had not watched the video instructions. The new parts were slightly different than the old parts, but they fit perfectly. I thawed the frost buildup around the ice door and the opening of the ice bin with a hair drier, to get the ice to come out properly. Thank you so much for the video!

water dispencer not working, ice maker is working
This was not a through the door unit. The water dispenser is located inside the refrigerator. Unplug the refrigerator. Remove the two screws holding the cover over the dispenser parts. Could not remove the cover completely as there is a water supply line attached. Let the front of the cover down as far as you can get it. The micro switch is reachable. Move plastic retaining posts holding the switch in place, to the side to release the switch. This can be done with your fingers. Pop the switch out. Use the blade of the screw driver to gently pry the electrical connection plug away from the switch. Attach the new switch to the plug and put everything back in the reverse order of disassembly. Done, easy, even I could do it.

We just bought a home with the refrigerator in it. The Water Filter Cap on the refrigerator was not there.
I had already hit the eject button and nothing happened. I could not get the filter out. I read the instructions, got on line and ordered the water filter cap. In the meantime, I worried about getting the filter out. I tried pliers and then I found after several tries and a lot of frustration, a lid off of a spray can that fit. I could have waited until the cap came in, but me being me, I could not wait. I worked the filter out, but waited until the cap came in the mail to finish the job. . I put the cap on the filter inserted it and finished what I had started the week before. Simple once I had the cap.

Ice dispensor door would not close, dripped water, frosted inside freezer
Google refrigerator Model #, found your site, saw parts diagram right away, clicked on part 'Ice Door Kit', noticed your video on how to do repair yourself, showed it to my husband, ordered part, and it arrived the next day. That was the hardest part of the whole repair. I have been without use of the ice dispenser for about 9 months - took 20 minutes from opening box to getting ice again and saved myself a whole lot of money. I am one happy camper!!!

Refrigerator Freezer Ice Door Broken
Job went as per your terrific video. Except that when attempting to retrieve the old heater element the glue on the old door was no long pliable. I had to literally tear the old foam apart to get at the heater element and almost damaged it. Not to worry. It worked out well and all is great. Thanks for the very instructive video.

Sender/receiver unit on ice maker
Video made troubleshooting problem easy. I ordered the parts and 5 days later I had them. 10 minutes later they were installed and that night I had ice. This is the third appliance I have repaired using the partsselect video and replacement parts. All worked well. Much cheaper than getting a technician. Thank you. Cheap Guy!

water not dispensing from refrigerator
Popped out the old filter from the refrigerator bottom. Removed new filter from the box and pulled off the end caps. Put the end cap on the new filter, aligned the filter( it will only go in one way) with alignment slides and pushed the filter in until I heard it (click) into place. Pushed in the water dispenser tab for a few seconds, but nothing happened. So I waited until the next day and pushed the dispenser in and water flowed out. Repeated this process until the water ran clear. Turned the ice maker back on and a few hours later ice was popping out. Wife's happy, I'm a hero!

Ice dispenser on door was disfunctional
The hardest part was figuring out how to get the front panel escutcheon panel off. With the putty knife under the bottom flange, you need to push down with some effort on the part of the flange where the drip pan slides in and twist the putty knife to disengage the locking tab. Once the panel is off, the rest of the job is easy with the aid of your video. Everything works like new...thanks.

Ice Maker would not make ice
A repairman wanted $600.00 to fix our ice maker. I paid him $88.00 for his "service call" & asked him to leave. I ordered & replaced the ice maker machine & the ice maker still would not work, so I replaced the 2 optics boards next. Replacing the ice maker was most challenging because the plug is so hard to get at, but the 2 optics boards were pretty easy. Just watch the video on PartSelect.com. Work slowly & take your time when pulling out & replacing the optics boards. There were a total of 6 screws for the 2 optics boards. It took me approximately 10 minutes to replace both boards, & now my ice maker is working perfectly! I am thrilled!!
