Replace old leaking freezer gasket with new one
Repair went very well with removal of old gasket and the new replacement. The replacement fit (OEM ?) did not fit as nice as the old one. Two screw holes at opposite corners never lined up with holes in new gasket. Some of the gasket inner folds did not fit nicely but they work with no issues.

The freezer was icing and the refrigerator was running constantly
I took the freezer door off. Gasket screws ran on the four side of the door. I unscrewed the top and three sides but the bottom screws were completely rusted and stuck. As the refrigerator was almost 19 years old which is the predicted lifespan I decided to just buy a new refrigerator. I was able to adjust the old gasket and got the freezer working normally but decided to go ahead with the replacement.

gasket was not sealing everywhere
After unloading the door We took it off and laid it on the island. WE were then able to take all of the screws out without the door falling apart. Starting at the top we removed the old gasket and put on the new. The gasket was somewhat distorted but the hair dryer helped soften and shape it. We then put the door back on and used the hair dryer to shape any problems . This took right at one hour.A power screwdriver is absolutely essential. Read more...

Old seals around doors were leaking cool air.
Easy as could be. Unscrew the bolts on the inside of the seal, take off the old seal, place new seal on and screw back in. Saved myself $150 by doing it myself. So easy, my 7 year old could have done it.

failure to seal fridge doors adequately.
The doors had many hex screws. Using the correct socket size was critical. Empty the door shelves first. The screws had to come out because the new seal had slot holes for them to go between. Take off half of the screws from the top and sides and partially remove the old seal. Attach the new seal and do the same with the bottom half. With the new seal on the lower door it at first looks like a poor seal. Gently press the door and hold it for about 5 min. Then the seal is ok. The door can then can be open and shut gently with a good seal. With a good set of sockets the work can go faster than the time given.

Refrigerator door seal leaking and the beer was not getting cold.
Removed the inner door panel held on by 30 small nuts crews. Removed the old seal. Stretched new door seal onto inner door panel. Attached inner door panel and seal to inside of refrigerator door. Using a magnetic nut driver was the answer in the tight spots and the small nut screws. Everything works fine and the beer is cold again!

Hoover Refrigerator Food Door Gasket (measures 28-1/4" By 36-5/8")
2. Remove bottom hinge from door. Make sure door is supported. Shoulder works nicely for that. 3 hex head screws
3. Drop door down and off. Lay on table.
4. Remove inside door panel. The hex head screws require a 1/4" socket, and there are a lot of them, concealed under a flap of the gasket. Lift off and clean inside door panel.
5. The old gasket peels off. The new one goes on the same way. Place the inside door panel back on the door, and install the screws at the corners first. Make sure that they go thru the holes in the gasket.
6. Lift the door into position. Install the hinge, holding the door. Once it is tight, you are done. Read more...
