Microwave bulb was burnt out
It is easy to repair the burnt out bulb if one has the correct bulb. Your website is very user friendly and your service is great. I was not able to replace the bulb at this time because our RV is at the repair shop for some other matters. I am sure the installation of the new bulb will go smoothly. Thanks for asking. This light housing is roughly five inches high, with an outside diameter of roughly four inches by four inches. General Electric Wall Oven Halogen Bulb - 20W - 12V

PartSelect Number PS951718
Manufacturer Part Number WB01X10239
This light bulb is a 12 Volt/20 Watt bi-pin base halogen lightbulb, meaning it emits a bright, white light which is similar to natural daylight and is inserted into its socket, as opposed to being rotated in. This bulb specifically is designed for use and compatible within various makes and models of home appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves and ranges, and is sold individually. This halogen bulb can last up to 2000 hours and will begin to emit a yellow-ish tint or diminished brightness as it ages and deteriorates.

Halogen bulb beneath microwave lighting the stovetop burned out after 9 mo.
Unscrewed the light cover beneath the microwave with a phillips head screwdriver. The bulb is very tiny and has 2 straight parallel prongs that slide into 2 small holes. Grab bulb from both sides with each hand firmly and slide STRAIGHT out (no twisting or pushing). Don't worry about breaking even though it may take a fair amount of pressure to pull out. New bulb arrived within a couple of days. Due to high shipping cost, suggest buying 2 or more bulbs at once. Bulb is often used as a kitchen night light so that is probably why I only got 9 months out of it. Read more...

PartSelect Number PS237483
Manufacturer Part Number WB25T10002
This part is the replacement oven bulb lens cover. It is made of glass and is approximately 3 inches in diameter. The lens cover is rigid and protects the oven light bulb from being damaged. The main reason to replace the oven bulb lens cover is if it is cracked, damaged, or missing. Be sure that the lens cover is cool to the touch before you begin this repair. To remove the lens cover simply turn it counterclockwise until you can remove it. Replace it with a new cover and turn it clockwise to lock it into place. This is an OEM part sourced from the manufacturer, and it is sold individually.

This light bulb lens covers the interior light bulb in an oven, range, or stove. No tools are necessary to replace this part. Simply slide off the wire bracket to remove the existing light bulb lens. Disconnect power to your appliance before this repair. It is recommended to check the light bulb while the lens cover is removed in case it needs to be replaced. Be sure to remove all broken glass, if applicable, before installing new lens. This part is sourced directly from the genuine manufacturer, and is sold individually.

I Tried to remove Oven Light and got a spark that took out the Control Panel.
Oven light was easy - Snapped the Wire Bail, removed the Glass Protect and removed the buld. Installed new bulb, installed Glass Protect and snapped the Wire Bail. The Control Panel was a little harder and had to remove the 4 screws holding the metal Back Plate cover. I wrote down all the wire connections and then unplugged the wires. I took a 1/4 nutdriver and removed 4 screws holding Control panel in place and removed the Panel. The new control panel did not come with the Switch Face Plate so I removed the old one with a razor blade. The Switch Face Plate had plenty of adhessive so I just aligned the Face Plate with the Control Panel and seated it in place - thankfully it held firmly. I installed the Control Panel with Face Plate into the range and secured it with 4 screws using nutdriver. I plugged the wire connectors into the Control Panel and installed the Metal Back Plate to the range and secured it with 4 screws. Plugged the Range into the sockets and checked it for operation. Everything worked Ok including the new oven light. Read more...

Oven light burned out
Wait until oven is cold. Turn off power to the oven at the breaker panel (confirm: clock will be off). Open oven door. Remove upper rack. Unscrew glass cover over lamp and socket (it only turns one direction and may be tight). Slide cover off lamp socket. Remove old lamp - pull straight down. Install replacement lamp. Lamp pins line up front to back. Do not touch the lamp - use latex gloves. Make sure the lamp is fully pushed into its socket. Replace the glass cover by centering it on the socket with glass retaining tabs close to the matching areas on the metal socket. Take care not to damage the lamp. Turn the cover to lock in place. Make sure it is locked. Replace oven rack. Turn the power back on. Read more...

The heat setting numbers were worn off and missing due to cleaning this cover with something abrasive.
Removed the heat setting knobs which then reveal the 4 plastic retainers which are easily unthreaded using a Crescent wrench. Then the overlay panel simply lifts off and the new one placed on and the retainers are threaded back on.
It's a very easy fix.
