Admiral Dishwasher Wash Arm Cap
PartSelect Number PS11747698
Manufacturer Part Number WP99002654
This part is the replacement wash arm cap, also known as the spray arm nut, for your dishwasher. It is made of white plastic and is approximately ½ an inch in diameter. The wash arm cap fastens the lower spray arm to the pump housing. If the arm cap is damaged or missing, the arm can wobble or fall off during operation, and this can make it extremely difficult to wash your dishes effectively. To replace the wash arm cap, simply remove it from the spray arm, and replace it with the new cap. This part is an authentic OEM part from the manufacturer, and is sold individually.

Wash Quality Was Getting Bad
The upper arm was held in by a torx screw. The shoulder on the screw held the arm in place. Once removed I simply swapped parts and installed screw. The lower arm was held on by a plastic nut with knurled edges that you can remove by hand. The arm simply lifted off and I swapped arms again. The rollers are held on by a curled plastic lock that grips the wire basket.

Admiral Dishwasher Lower Spray Arm Support
I removed the threaded broken-off part from the extension thing. The spay arm came off, since nothing was holding it on any more. I pried the cover off below that - 4 tangs.
Then I used needle nose pliers to unto the strange pointed nut that holds the spray arm support in place. Then removed the borken support, replaced with the new and reassembled in the reverse order of disassembly. Really pretty easy. Read more...

Whoever manufactures this part, hope they read this and strenthen this part. The very thin legs break very easily.I removed the threaded broken-off part from the extension thing. The spay arm came off, since nothing was holding it on any more. I pried the cover off below that - 4 tangs.

Admiral Dishwasher Top Wash Arm Retainer
PartSelect Number PS11747716
Manufacturer Part Number WP99002753
This wash arm retainer is attached to the top spray arm of your dishwasher to keep it secured to the unit. The water from the spray arm is meant to spray water and detergent forcefully over the dishes. If your dishes are not being cleaned properly, and you notice the spray arm is not securely attached to the dishwasher, the issue is most likely with the wash arm retainer. Some common symptoms linked to faulty wash arm containers include: plugged spray arm, clogged spray arm holes, or a broken spray arm. Remember, this part is for top wash arms NOT bottom wash arms.

Loud Grinding Noise
We heard a horrible grinding noise just after starting the machine TWO DAYS before Christmas. On a whim, I disassembled the lower spray arm assembly right down to the wash impeller. I ran the dishwasher and heard no grinding noise, so I knew it wasn't a problem with the motor/bearings. After taking out the old parts, I noticed the discharge pump housing was in two pieces, and judging by the look of it and how those two pieces were fitting together, felt something must be wrong with them. I ordered a new discharge pump housing unit and a few extra parts just to be sure, and after 30 minute install of the new parts, the dishwasher is back to life. A $65 shot in the dark repair by a non-repairman vs. a new dishwasher... I'll take the shot in the dark. Thanks PartSelect!! I'm on to ordering a new utensil basket now!!

Spray arms were split in the seams & clogged
After I figured out how to remove the spray arms, and filter guard (that was the hardest part) it was a piece of cake. Just a matter of snapping the spray arm into the filter guard, and replacing it the dishwasher, and tightening it with the screw in retainer. Upper arm was also easy to replace after removing the top rack.
